I believe my son Sammy is the most deserving of an AMAZING party! When Sammy was born April 24, 2009, after a pretty stress free pregnancy, the cord was wrapped around his neck three times. After the midwife and nurses took care of my little blue bundle, they realized that his skin had a strange purplish hue and his feet and arms were not the same size. Three hours after he was born, he was sent to the local Children’s Hospital for testing, while I had to stay behind until my iron counts went up. We were able to leave the NICU after the first night, but we stayed in the hospital for almost a week while they ran a series of tests on my precious baby, and while he stayed under the bili lights to lower his counts. He had blood work, several X-rays, and ultrasounds done to determine the severity of his limb abnormalities (one hand and forearm is smaller than the other, his left foot is much thicker and the toes much bigger than the right, he has several lumps of fatty tissue on his back and stomach, and one butt cheek is bigger than the other – definitely the cutest feature!) and the discoloration of his skin which covers a majority of his torso and most of his left leg. When we left the hospital, we had some idea as to what he could have. He was initially diagnosed with KTW Syndrome (I believe a few thousand people have this syndrome), then CMTC (about 250 people have this diagnosis). After a month, we came back for an MRI of his brain, which thankfully was normal. Over the past three years, my little man has endured numerous doctor’s visits, MRI’s, X-rays of his entire body, Ultrasounds, and many other tests. We have traveled to see specialists in Cincinnati, and all of his lab work and paperwork was sent to Boston Children’s hospital for review. As of August 2011, Samuel is officially diagnosed with CLOVES (for more information, visit clovessyndrome.org) which 90 people in the world have been diagnosed with. While he is a healthy, happy 3 year old, he recently had the 2nd toe of his left foot amputated due to its size and to help decrease the width of his foot. We will need to go in for further testing soon to see how the vascular anomaly on his chest is affecting his internal organs, blood flow, and especially his heart. For one reason or another, we have not had the opportunity to throw Sammy the big wonderful birthday party we feel he deserves! We want Sammy to have a big blow out for his 4th birthday – a celebration of him and the wonderful life and health he has! We are so lucky to have him in our family, thankful that he is healthy, and we won’t to show our love to him! We love you Samuel Connor!!!

I would like to win this awesome giveaway for my baby girl Mira’s 1st Birthday coming up in August. On August 11, 2010 I had a stillborn at 37 weeks to a baby girl named Maddyn Shaye. Losing a child is a mothers worst nightmare, a pain that no one should never have to endure. I will forever remember my sweet Maddyn & the joy she brought to me in the little time I had with her. She’s brought me joy that I can’t even describe & friendships from women across the country that I’ve met through “Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope”-an online support group. I’m forever thankful for my angel. Just 4 months after, I got pregnant again with what is now my little MIRAcle baby, Mira Shaye, born on August 10,2011- – Just one day short of what would have been Maddyn’s 1st birthday. Throughout my whole pregnancy & before I even found out I was having another girl, I referred to Mira as my “rainbow baby”. A rainbow baby is a baby that is born after any kind of pregnancy or infant loss. After having gone through the storm of losing a child, a new life brings with it a rainbow… So that is why I want to throw Mira a “rainbow” themed 1st birthday party.

My story isn’t sad, or heart wrenching. My story is uplifiting and I want to celebrate all of the amazing things that have happened for my sweet Bella. We adopted Bella from Romania, after long bouts of in-vitro and egg donors, we needed to explore the idea of adoption. The orphanages over there are DEPLORABLE. We went through MONTHS and MONTHS of red tape in order to adopt her, and finally did. We got back stateside, and got a call from the adoption agency, stating that they had found Bella’s brother, Anthony, in another orphanage in Romania and knew we were interested in adopting him. We had only been home a few weeks, so we told the agency to give us a while to adjust to having Bella, and allow us to mull it over. After two weeks, we decided the best thing to do would be to adopt Anthony, as well. We called the agency and told them we were interested and were HEART BROKEN to find out that he had been adopted. We reveled in having our own child, FINALLY, and though we were hurt by not having her sibling there to raise with her, we still had our sweet Bella.
Fast forward 6 months. I get a phone call that I am floored by. The family that adopted Anthony is ELEVEN MILES FROM MY HOME. That’s where they LIVE. A true MIRACLE. I am sobbing happy tears as I tell my husband, and over the last year and a half, we have been able to raise Bella with her brother, Anthony and have them know eachother. We are SO blessed and SO happy to know that she has a true part of her that she can hang on to for the rest of her life.
My sweet Bella is deserving of an amazing, over the top, birthday party and I hope that I am able to give this to her by winning your package.

I would Love to be able to have a chance to win this give away from my Sister Sheila she is a single Mom of two wonderful kids and she just currently lost her job. I just recently celebrated my daughters 4th birthday, and my Sister, her daughter and I with a few other people were sitting at a table. And her daughter said to her softly “Momma can my birthday be like this” She replied back “I don’t know, because I don’t have a lot of money” her daughter hugs her and says “it’s OK” as my Sister has tears in her eyes. It truly made me sad. later that day I told my husband, I wanted to throw Alyssa (my sister’s daughter) a party and explained what had happen. But as I start to think. I myself have two other kids who’s birthdays are coming up soon My daughter Madison who is turning 1 July 9th and my son J.J is turning 3 sept 4th. And I don’t have a lot of my money myself so I may not be able to give her the party she deserves. But when I seen this I just had to try it out. My niece Alyssa is Going to be 5 at the end of September and she is just the sweetest little girl who cares about others and what she can do for them before herself. She deserve to have a day that is just all about her, to make her feel special like a princess :) So please I would love to help my sister out be able to let her give her daughter a great Birthday!

I would love to throw a homecoming party for my husband! He is currently deployed overseas and has been gone all year. March 30th of this year I gave birth to our daughter. She is our first born and my husband was not able to come home for the birth. Needless to say, he has not met his daughter yet and won’t until she is nearly 7 months old. He has always wanted to be a father and was so patient waiting for me to be ready, and he truly sacrificed the most important day of our lives, and some of the sweetest moments of our daughters life, to serve our country and protect our freedoms.
I want to give him a homecoming party that he will never forget! He works so hard I think he truly deserves a celebration.
Thank you so much for hosting such a wonderful giveaway. It will really allow someone who otherwise couldn’t to have a special day.

On May 15, 2009 after just 1 month of trying, we found out we were pregnant. We were over joyed and so excited to see what this bundle of joy would be like. On June 9th, 2009 just 3 short weeks later I felt like our life was turned upside down. My husband was in hotel management and had been expecting to get a raise….instead he was terminated with just 1 month of severance pay. He tried relentlessly to find a job…unfortunately it took over 16months for him to find one. During that time we found out that we were pregnant with a little girl, her name is Avonlea Marie. She joined our little family on January 14, 2010 and has forever changed my life. Since then we have been trying to dig out financially. We are now over $20,000 in debt from just paying to keep our bills paid and groceries in the refrigerator. We have been gradually working on paying down bills and things, my hubby finally found a position as a middle school teacher after he did a “Career Switcher” program. Unfortunately we have no extra $$$ (We are still $300 in the hole every month) so we don’t have the extra to splurge on things we would like.
This party pack would be amazing and a way that I feel like I could do something special for my daughter, the way she deserves. Thanks for such an amazing giveaway!!!

Wow, skimming through some of those amazing stories; judges you have a tough decision to make! My name is Lorna and i am 21 years young, I would like to nominate my sister Ellen Marie Massey for winning your grand prize party. She is 14 turning 15 in September, she is my half sister and now my responsibility.
We share the same mother who is very ill mentally and physically. Her father is in the same boat add on top of that a drug addict. About 3 years ago they were all living together in North Carolina in a very unstable and abusive situation/environment. Food, health, and safety was nonexistent. At 11 years old, Ellen to get away from her abusive parents would run to friends houses where they would influence her to party, drink and do drugs. This was not a bright future for her and a very dark past.
Our mother decided to leave Ellen’s father to move in with a boyfriend. This relationship was not much better than the last and it ended up leaving Ellen homeless at 12 years old. The boyfriend did not like Ellen and made my mom discard her. Instead of actually kicking her to the curb my mom dropped Ellen off at a mental hospital and made her live there for two weeks until I could get time off from work and school to drive from Florida where I live to get her.
I was 19 years old taking on raising a troubled teenager, what was I thinking I am a teenager myself? She is my sister and I would do anything for her, I had to try. Within a month of Ellen in my care my mom decided to call law enforcement and tell them I have kidnapped her. So I can tell you it has been quite an adventure learning how law enforcement and the legal system work. It was worth it because as of December 1, 2011 I am now her legal guardian.
We both have been on an amazing journey together and it can only go up from here. She has had so much of her childhood taken away from her, I would love to be able to throw her a party to celebrate the fun and innocence that she deserves for her 15th birthday. Thank you for reading this and for the opportunity of a very special day!

Our daughter will be a year old in October.

I’ve waited my whole life to be a mom, and early one morning in October 2011, I watched my miracle baby enter this world via emergency c-section. She was beautiful and healthy, and perfect in every way. My husband and I were instantly wrecked in love with her.

Four days later, we were ready to leave the hospital with our 8 lb little bundle. But before we could go, we had to first say goodbye to her birth mom. Selah is adopted… And the happiest and hardest moments of my life converged as I lifted this sweet baby to be kissed one last time by the woman who gave her life. Seconds later, we stood as a new family of three while we watched a yellow cab drive away with the most amazing & selfless woman inside, wiping away thousands of tears.

I love being a mommy to this little miracle. And my husband is the greatest father I’ve ever known. But financially, adopting has not been easy for us. We let go of any savings we had, and took on a very large personal loan to pay for the cost of the adoption when we were chosen to be the parents of this precious child. We have been denied for financial assistance from the government, and seven adoption grants that we have plead our case to. We long for the day to not be burdened by the looming cloud of financial hardship… But we will not allow it to take away from the joy that comes from raising this little girl. She is every bit of our happiness, and proof that the bond between a parent and child is not dependent upon a bloodline. We are so thankful to have her as our daughter.

With her first birthday coming up, this would be a HUGE blessing for our family. Winning this give-away would allow us to give our daughter the best first birthday, and official “welcome to the family” celebration that we have not been able to give her yet.

We want to follow Facebook regulations, so please vote for the winner in the comment field below. Leave a comment with your # of choice. One vote per person, please. xoxo

Due to a financial crisis, and after losing our apartment, my husband and I had to move in with his parents last September when I was 6 months pregnant with our first baby. It was very difficult for us but his parents made it as easy as possible. They gave me tons of support through the rest of my pregnancy. On December 16, 2012, I delivered a beautiful baby girl we named Amelia. Amelia and her Nana bonded quickly. Every time Amelia saw her she would smile. My mother in law had been very ill for the last few years and I was so happy Amelia could bring a little sunshine into her life. Tuesday night, my mother in law was feeling even worse, so we took her to the hospital. Before we left, Amelia gave her Nana one last kiss. She was very upset because she knew something was wrong. But her Nana managed to give her a smile and tell her everything was going to be all right. That was the last time Amelia got to see her. She passed away late last night. My heart is breaking for my husband and our family, but even more so because our baby girl will never know her Nana. I had started trying to plan Amelia’s first birthday party and my mother in law was so excited about it. Even though it’s not until December, we both marveled at how time is flying by and it will be here before we know it.
My husband is the sole provider for our family. He works so incredibly hard to provide for us yet we are still struggling. Being that Amelia is our first baby, we both want her first birthday to be very special. And now that her Nana is no longer with us, it will be bittersweet since she loved Amelia so very much and was so involved and excited about the plans. If we were to win this amazing prize, not only would it help us out tremendously financially, I know her Nana would be so full of joy to know her precious granddaughter would have a beautiful, spectacular party, a party that she so greatly wanted for her little bunny.

I recently found out I am pregnant, and am THRILLED! I am working and going to school – and have always dreamed my first baby shower would be big and beautiful. Though I am not in a position to make that happen, nor are my friends, I would still love a chance to make that happen. What a great giveaway and what a burden of stress it would eliminate to have some of the things taken care in advance!

I would love to win this so I could throw a baby shower for my friends Joy and Stephen. Joy and Stephen were pregnant with a baby that they knew would be born with lots of health issues. Joy carried their daugther to full term and delivered her. Maggie Mabee Colwell was born with lots of health issues and was on life support for the 26 days of her life. They were not able to hold their daughter until after her death. Joy and Stephen tried to get pregnant again and just gave birth to a healthy daughter June Scarlet Colwell. We are all wanting to throw a shower for their daughter June now that she is here so everyone can celebrate with the parents on this huge blessing. I think they deserve this more than anyone, and if you would like to read their story from their own words and see pictures of beautiful Maggie go here please. http://mabeecolwell.weebly.com/

I am not entering this contest for myself, but for my sister- {& brother-} in-law {Kayla & Trevor}.
They have been trying for some time now to have a child of their own. After a few miscarriages she was finally able to carry her own child in 2011. We were all so overjoyed when she moved past the really desperate possibility of miscarriage. Around September 2011 some problems started arising with the pregnancy and after being hospitalized on Oahu, they had to send Kayla to the mainland so she could receive the proper medical care. Trevor could not come with her right away and she needed to leave with 24 hours notice. The original plan was to send her to San Diego with no friends or family, but we were able to convince the doctors to send her to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis so we would be close to her. Once the doctors determined the baby was in stable condition, she was released and lived with us.
However, in November she started having more complications, so Trevor rushed her to the hospital. By this point, we knew baby Landon had 3 very rare conditions all competing with each other. The doctors had told the family to expect the worst. At the hospital, they had an ultrasound to find out that baby Landon’s heart had stopped. The doctors wouldn’t perform a C-Section so Kayla was induced and spent days in labor with Landon. Very late on November 15 she gave birth to a still-born little boy; and a few days later we attended his funeral. Since then Kayla has had another miscarriage. The doctors can’t find anything wrong, but her body just can’t seem to grow a child right now.
Trevor & Kayla have been in the adoption process and it should be any time now that they get to hold a baby in their arms & love him/her as their own.
Since I was the one planning baby Landon’s baby shower, I would really love to be able to give them a beautiful shower for their new blessing. No one should ever have to go through the pain & sadness they have {let alone in their early 20s}, but they are prepared to be parents again and I want them to be able to have a celebration like no other!

My daughter is deserving of a fantastic birthday party. Last year she had a wonderful birthday and two weeks later she was in the hospital fighting for her life. At 4 years old she was diagnosed with rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, which was rapid onset of kidney failure. She went from full function on December 31 to 17% on January 5. She underwent blood transfusions, high doses of steroid therapy as well as chemo therapy which was taxing for both of us as well as our extended family. She went through so much at such a young age and maintained a relatively positive outlook in part because we were in an awesome children’s hospital and because she didn’t understand the gravity of the situation. I did however and cried and prayed for weeks on end. I’m glad to report that her recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. The nephrology team thought that she’d need a kidney transplant by the onset of puberty and threw around terms like “quality of life” and “keeping her comfortable” Now she’s a happy and thriving 4.5 year old and mentions her birthday often (like all 4 year olds). To keep her spirits up in the hospital we looked at photos from her birthday party that was just a few days earlier. I’m a single mom with little emotional or financial support from her father. I’d love to have the opportunity to throw her an amazing party since several of my prayers focused on getting her to her next birthday.

    Kara,
The person most deserving of a special birthday celebration is my Grandma Milly! This August she will be 104 years young!! She doesn’t ask for much from us, but decided she wanted a birthday party this year for all her friends to celebrate with her…after all, how many people can say they are 104 :) ??!! She is the last surviving sibling of 6, lived through both WW in Hungary, came to the States to make a better life for my mom, and never left! My mom passed away, so now my husband and I are truly blessed to have her living in our home, and every day she reminds me and shows me through her words and actions what is means to be thankful. She never complains, even though her vision and hearing are all but gone, and her old bones ache.
I would love to give her a beautiful FUN party to celebrate her LIFE WELL LIVED. :)

I would be thrill to win this giveaway! I have never won anything this amazing. I think I along with my almost one year old daughter would definitely deserve it to the fullest. I am a single parent of two beautiful girls; a 5 yr old & an 11 month old. I am currently attending school full time while working a full time job.I am working towards obtaining my ADN and later transitioning to BSN. With my oldest I always out did her birthdays. Over the top! Its been tough but so worth it being able to work to give both my kids everything they deserve and more. I am moving on the first of July and with that comes with alot of spending leaving me with a small budget for her birthday. My plan was to have a pool party for her and convert the backyard into an under the sea paradise, with lots of sweets, food and fruit for this extremely hot Texas weather, a waterslide, which she loves! and some games. the theme would be The Little Mermaid -Under the Sea, since her name is Ariella meaning Ariel. I love both of my children and have sacrifies alot to make sure both my girls are taken care of. I would totally be increadibly thankful if I won this giveaway. Giving my beautiful babygirl an awesome 1st birthday party. :)

Well, my story isn’t sad and it won’t make you tear up, but this party package would be an amazing thing for my almost five year old Abby Grace. (She will be 5 in October.) Now don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t feel any of us, including my precious Abby and her sweet sister Emery, DESERVE anything. None of us do. The only thing that makes me complete is my relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try and teach this to my children, but fail so often. But how wonderful it is to know that Christ loves me anyway. He doesn’t give up on me. Again, I try and teach Abby and Emmy from God’s Word. I don’t go out and buy my girls things all the time. Honestly, besides clothes, I only buy them toys around their birthday and the holidays. I may buy them a knick-knack here and there, but not big items. Yes, grandparents buy them things, and they love it. But we don’t “go crazy” over buying things. This party would be great to give to Abby for her 5th b-day. We just moved into a new place, and we are excited about what God is going to do in our lives. I would be thrilled to throw her this party at our new place and invite her friends from church. She will have also started Pre-K in August, so maybe some of her new school friends could come. I would love to give this to her as a “gift from mommy and daddy.” She could look back and remember how fun her 5th birthday party was. Thank you for taking the time to read this. God bless you!

  12. Denise Allen says:

I hate to talk about myself but this is a good reason to because I could REALLY use this. I have 5 children 4 of which still at home. my youngest 2 (15) are twins and the girl has Bi-polar and the boy has Aspergers (whom I home school, and can’t leave). My daughter left her husband and her and her daughter moved in with us. I love having my grand daughter around all the time but it is alot of work because her mom is going to school so I take care of her everyday. I have had to quit my job due to pain, I have had major back problems had surgery on my spine had 3 discs in my neck fussed together with no releif and was just shortly diagnosed with fiberminalga. With me not working for the past year we have come close to losing our house, we lost our van, and had our sewer break. But even with all this I keep a cherry disposition, I am highly envolved in Scouting (Webelos leader, Roundtable staff, camp director, and Trainer) and will fill in anywhere I am needed. I adopted some land in my area for the scouts to go and clean up to learn how to keep our country clean. and I volenteer at a old house in a canyon close to my house to teach vistors about the area and the histroy.. Winning this package would put a huge smile on my face and would fit as to the fact that we have not been able to celebrate adult birthdays, holidays, or Aniverserys this past yr.

Neely is her sweet name. My daughter turned nine this year and I was unable to give her a party. I have recently gone through a divorce and started over. Unfortunately this starting over period happened during her birthday month. I have been saving for her a surprise belated party little by little. She is such a great sprite and wise beyond her years to be only nine. All she wanted was for her and I too spend the night on trampoline together. (slept with one eye open and couldn’t move the next day) I know she would love to have her friends for a slumber party on trampoline. It would be great to have this set and surprise her one evening with all her friends there.

    Thanks… for the chance.

I would love to win this amazing giveaway! After seven (long) years, I will finally be graduating college this year. When my oldest son was in Kindergarten, I decided to go back to school to become an elementary school teacher. After many years of struggling with homework, studying, and trying to be a wife, mom, and student…I am finally completing my goal. I would like to have a party not just for myself, but for the wonderful family members and friends who have helped me as a pursued my dream. My husband and children have been extremely kind and understanding. Many family members and friends have helped tend my children, read papers, and give needed encouragement. A fabulous party would be the perfect way to celebrate my accomplishment and for me to show appreciation.

I would love this amazing opportunity for the most amazing little girl in the world, my daughter Mya!. She has changed my life forever. When she was born, it was such a struggle. I wasn’t financially ready and was in such a bad relationship. But, when she was born she gave me so much strength and courage. I am still amazed how something so tiny can change your whole life! She taught me inner strength and made me realize that WE deserve the best in life. Mya turned out to be the funniest, most strong willed, little diva (lol) a woman can ask for. I wasn’t ready for her when she came to be, but God was ready for me to be her mommy. She is so beautiful inside and out and God has truly blessed me with her. I had planned her whole first year that she would have a huge celebration for her first birthday. I mean after all, it was the first year of lots and lots of first. But, life had other plans for me. I went from working 2 jobs, to one and then to none. I was devastated! I felt like I had failed. So many people celebrate their child’s first year with a bang! But I couldn’t. Then Mya got sick. She got an awful respiratory infection that ultimately lead to Pneumonia. It was such an awful time in our lives.I felt the worst pain a Mother could feel. I am very grateful that we persevered and made it through that tough time but i’m so sad that I never got to celebrate her first year. She will be turning 5 in November and to this day I have always wanted to give her an amazing party because she is so deserving. I know everybody has their stories just as I do mine. I have read others comments and am just in awe of the amazing blessings we are all blessed with. Whoever gets this package is so deserving. My little girl means the world to me. Lord knows how much I want this for her. I would love to give her the party that I never could before. She deserves to celebrated with a grand event..lol. If we don’t get this package it’ll be sad but I am just happy I was able to share with you all the greatest blessing in my life. I know we are truly blessed and in the end, we have already won. We won each other.

Thank You to all those who are making this possible and Good luck to all those who participated <3

My daughter will be getting married at the very end of Summer! She wants her bachelorette party to be a fun sugar themed event! After she gets married and they begin to plan to have a family, they will be eating healthy and not eating sugar and ice cream! So she has been saying that is what she wants for her send off into married life! What she will not be having any more!!

After 3 cancer battles won…I am now facing my fourth! My daughter and her husband have been planning and paying for everything that has to do with the wedding! My medical bills are huge and we have no money to be able to help them pay for the wedding! They have been amazing at doing everything themselves! I would love to be able to plan her Bachelorette party or shower of her dreams!!

After my first 2 cancer battles, I was able to return to work, but after the third battle and a stroke, I tried to work part time for another year and a half, and it was killing me! I had to stop working and lose my health insurance! I remained cancer free for a few years and then had kidney failure! They took me off of my chemotherapy and started dialysis, which I still have three times a week! But stopping my chemotherapy brought my cancer back!! Now I have to fight for my life and for my chemotherapy drugs that they want me to pay $2,000 a month for!

Please help me win this awesome prize so I can do something amazing for my daughter before she gets married!! Thank you!

I want to enter this giveaway to throw a party for my Mother. Who I love with all my heart. She has been through so much and has still raised me to be a strong confident woman. Her first husband, my biological father, started abusing her on their wedding night. Scary thing to go through. She still has medical records from when he dislocated her elbow and the bruising on her legs and the sprained ankle from just one night. This was back in the mid 80s before there was really much cops did for domestic abuse. She tried to push through but life just kept her down. After two miscarriages the doctors told her not to get pregnant for at least 2 years for her body to heal. Two months later she found out she was pregnant with me. After a very difficult pregnancy, about 5 months of which was spent in bed, she had me just two days after her 23rd birthday. After I was born she got the strength and courage to leave him. We had to go into hiding, staying at family’s houses and never being alone until the divorce was over with. Not long after the divorce he was arrested for drugs and was found with a gun in the car, which is an automatic felony. He got 6 years in prison.
Her struggle did not end there. Husband #2 was so laid back, the opposite of #1. But it didn’t take long for her to discover his alcoholism. After just 2 short years they were divorced.
Several years later she met a friends friend and after 2 years of dating he became husband #3. He was supportive of her as a mother, if I couldn’t go somewhere with them then they just wouldn’t go. Cut to me growing up. As most kids do, I gave my parents a hard time, back talking, rolling my eyes. Granted I never really got into much trouble. I did however have a horrible track record with cars. It got to a point where he just stopped talking to me. And my mother had to hear all the complaints and she had to deal with all the stress. Even after I moved out, he got worse. Blaming her when things got moved. Switching from job to job, never staying anywhere longer than a couple years. Even taking jobs out of state. I started to see a change in my mother. A loss in her personality, her fire, her energy. His negativity was taking a toll on her. He became paranoid about the money and the bank accounts. Refusing to help me out while in college he started checking every penny. Mom used all her extra money she could save to help me out. Help me buy supplies (my degree was quite expensive for supplies) and to buy food when I needed it. I graduated 2 years ago and he still continued with the negativity. Even when I had to live at home briefly btwn college and my first job he and I didn’t speak. I couldn’t understand how my mom could get rid of #1 & #2 but she couldn’t see what #3 was doing to her. It was still abuse, it was just verbal this time. She finally filed for divorce last summer when we received a phone call informing us that he had a girlfriend up where his job was (3 hours from home). It took a year to finalize the divorce. His stubborn attitude that he made more money than she did and that entitled him to more of the assets. She had to fight and fight and fight just to get her fair share. He even tried to split up her dogs, which are like her grandkids. I was there with her that day, she even thought about it, I had to tell her to say no, that he didn’t want those dogs except to make her upset. She got the dogs, the house, and everything in the house. Just in the past year, especially the last few months, I’ve noticed my mother coming back. She is dancing and singing and being carefree again. I cried one day because I saw her laugh so freely.
All the while, between husbands, during husbands, she was taking care of me. Even with them it has always been mom and me. I love her and we are so close. She lets me make mistakes but she also helps me when I need her. She is the perfect balance of friend and mother. I never want to disappoint her but I also know that if I make a decision that she will support me. In our private moments, the conversations between me and her, I see where I get my quirkiness from. My strength comes from her. My intelligence comes from her. And she gets her goofiness from me :p
With everything that was going on with the divorce and everything that goes along with moving and a demanding job my mom’s birthday was glossed over this year. I take part of that blame, my best friend was getting married and I was just so busy. The Monday after her birthday (and mine) the divorce was final. All my mom asked for her birthday was for me to setup her DVD player so she could watch Breaking Dawn. She didn’t make a fuss and kept changing the subject from her birthday to helping me plan my wedding. After all the heartbreak and divorces my mother still fully supports me with my marriage.
There isn’t much I can do for her myself because all my extra money is going into a wedding fund. And I would love to have a party to celebrate her. Her love of books, disco music, dancing, and having fun. A celebration of strength. A day just for her. Nobody else.

    Tamara, loving daughter.

Like many young families just starting out, we have struggled to make ends meet. Our daughter Adele will be celebrating her first birthday next month. Throughout my pregnancy and Adele’s first year of life, my partner Scott was laid-off twice. He was forced to take an electrician job that involved many weeks away from home, and often feels as though he missed out on many of Adele’s precious moments as a baby. As a former preschool teacher, I was unable to return to work following her birth since the cost of childcare was so high. We decided that I would spend Adele’s first year at home. I’m also working part time as a nanny. Her wonderful dad works 6 days a week to provide for our family, still, we are wondering how we will pull together extra funds to throw Adele an amazing first birthday party in our back yard. We are eager to celebrate with our family and friends, but with student loan payments and daily living expenses only getting higher, we would truly appreciate some help. There are so many fun decorations that will take our party from a dollar-store budget to a custom “Pinterest worthy” celebration! Thanks for the opportunity!

My story starts with a young couple who got married and soon thereafter decided to try and start a family. They were excited to find out that after only 2 months of trying they were expecting!! Things were going well, but then something that no one had the answers for happened. There was no more heartbeat, there was no more baby. The couple was deeply saddened, angry & confused. Why did this have to happen to them? Life went on, and the hope of conceiving was still in their hearts. A little over a year later they fou d out that once again a miracle had happened and there was to be a baby girl! Again though, they lost the baby. Soon after they decided to be tested and find out what was going wrong. Come to find out the wife had pcos and hypothyroidism. Their chances of having a baby was slim to none. They were devastated and the wife became extremely depressed, why her? What did she do to deserve this? Things became very dark and bleak for her, especially as everyone around her was pregnant it seemed. Family members were conceiving on the first try & having twins even!! She became so despondent because all her life she just wanted to be a mother. She sank so low that she contemplated suicide every day of her life. Then she conceived again!! What a surprise, but she was hesitant and of course the inevitable happened. Again. This time she wouldn’t get out of bed. Why should she? The world is a horrible place. Giving babies to mothers who throw them away. Giving babies to mothers who killed them. All she wanted was a child of her own. Another year passed, she managed to pull through but was never fully alive, and she had finally given up hope of having a baby. Then one day she realized she missed her period. Thinking she was getting up there in age she contributed it to menopause. Figures. Then she was so sick she thought she had gallbladder problems. She couldn’t keep anything down & her stomach was killing her!! She was about to go to the ER when she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, and she had a bit of a belly. No way she thought. I just must be gaining weight or becoming bloated because of my gallbladder. But the what if was stuck in her head… Finally she couldn’t stand it & bought a home pregnancy test. It was immediately positive!! She did the math in her head.. No way. So she went to the doctor and he confirmed she was indeed 15 weeks pregnant. Panic set in, she was afraid of losing the baby, she hadn’t had an ob appointment. The next week she went to the dr and saw her baby boy on the screen happily squirming away!! Excited and fearful she took things day by day, then week by week. Besides some high blood pressure her baby was healthy. She prayed every day for him to stay put & be ok, until the day came where she was full term & in labor. She felt great, but still nervous. She was being monitored, nurses came and went out of her room checking up on her until one nurse checked her monitor and yelled “it’s real”!! What’s real?? All of the sudden what seemed like 100 doctors, nurses & who are all of these people were in her room prepping her for a c section. There was no heartbeat. Tears started to flow, panic set in, everything was a blur. She kept asking for her husband who couldn’t be in the room until she was done being prepped for surgery. Finally, there he was as panicked as she was. Things were moving quickly & the incision was made. She felt the pulling and tugging, then the doctor said the cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck three times. He unwound the cord, handing off the baby who was silent. She waited, her husband by his side. She felt so powerless. But then, a squeal, then a cry!! He was crying!!! They said he was fine! What seemed like an eternity later she saw him & kissed his little forehead. A prayer answered, a true miracle. This baby made it when all others didn’t. He was strong and healthy. He was meant to be. Fast forward nine months, and as I write my story for your contest, my son who is 100% happy & healthy is squirming on my lap trying to help type on my iPad, and I couldn’t be happier!! He is a true blessing and he gives me butterflies every time he looks at me and the only thing I can think of to say is “I love you, what took you so long?” I have been planning this first birthday party for 11 years, and it is going to be a big one!!

I would like to nominate my 4 year old son’s best friend. His name is Ryan, and he is 5 years old, he will be 6 in August. This little boy has had a rough time. In September of last year, he and his mom were medivac’d here to the DC Area to be admitted to Walter Reed Army Hospital, as Ryan had been diagnosed with AML (Leukemia). His 2 sisters and dad were able to follow a month later once the Army got him orders to move to this area and live here. This little boy has been through several rounds of Chemo, and in March was told he had beat his cancer! However, 5 weeks later, he was rushed back and readmitted, as the cancer had come back and started taking over his little body.He went through another round of chemo, and while going through that, the cancer continued to spread. Including taking over his central nervous system, and being 100% in his spinal fluid and bone marrow. He was in insane amounts of pain, on morphine all day to keep it under control, and his parents had to sign a DNR. They were given one last hope to beat it, and the chemo alone could kill him. They had no choice, so they did it. It was a rough road, as he got severe stomach infections that also had a 50% mortality rate on top of his leukemia. He made it thru the round and much to our surprise, the tumors were gone!!! He is currently now at Children’s hospital in DC, where he is struggling daily with severe stomach pains, and fevers. Once this gets under control, they are going to push 1-2 more rounds of chemo thru him, before beginning a complete bone marrow transplant. This little man has been the light of our life, and they have become family to us! We have been to the hospital to see him, and my son just sits by his side. They get each other! He is looking at a few more months in the hospital, and then we are hoping he can be home for good and over this! This has been an incredibly rough road for the entire family. We are trying to put together a big party at the end to celebrate him. He has continued to smile thru it all, and told his Mom when it came back, that she needs to not worry, because he beat it once, he can do it again!! His strength has amazed us all, and he keeps us all laughing. He deserves a big party!!!!

I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, A type of cancer in 2008 when my first daughter was turning one and not only that I was stage II and had it through my pregnancy. I was told that unless I froze my eggs prior to beginning chemo we would not have anymore children. I honestly thought I was going to die (and I had fertility treatments in order to get pregnant with my first daughter)so planning for future children was not on my mind. My husband decided we would leave it in God’s hands and be thankful for whatever time I have with my daughter. In 2009 I was in remission and always wished I had went ahead with the fertility treatments but at the same time I was just thankful that I had my daughter one year before the ordeal began. In 2011 I burned my hand and while at the hospital I found out I was 3 months pregnant with another perfectly healthy little girl. She was born that August and we named her Angeline. My oncologist and doctors were shocked that not only was I pregnant but that my pregnancy was about as normal and uneventful as someone in perfect health. My daughter was born at 40 weeks 5 days pregnant and weighed 7 lbs 10 oz. She is my miracle baby and she will be turning ONE in just two months. This package would be a dream come true, along with my health problems they also put a strain on our finances. The economy is rough here in Michigan and I am still unable to work, my husband does his best to provide our needs but we can’t always afford our wants. I plan to have a joint birthday party for both of my girls in August and this is something that would be perfect for both of them. My girls and my husband mean the world to me and I do my very best even when I’m feeling sick to make sure they are happy.

The person in my life who I think would deserve this awesome giveaway is my cousin Jen. Just a few weeks ago she delivered her 4th surro baby! This last pregnancy was a very difficult one for her. Early in the pregnancy doctors were not even sure the baby would live. Then at 28 weeks her water broke and my cousin spent almost 3 weeks in the hospital to make sure the baby had the best chance at survival. She sacrificed a lot while being in the hospital doing the best she could to be a great mom to her own two children from her hospital bed. At 30 and a half weeks she had to have an emergency c-section and delivered a healthy baby girl who is doing so well! The road to recovery has been difficult for Jen since the delivery but she is finally on the mend. I think Jen deserves a party because she creates families for people who have for so long wanted a child. She is great at growing babies and I want to let her know just how proud of her I am.

It has always been my belief that everyone deserves recognition for something they have done, wheather it be a birthday, graduation, promotion or just for being awesome. I have always had parties for my kids so they knew that they were so super special and it was THEIR day. But a cruel reality hit me one day that there are so many kids that have never experienced a party or even a simple cake. Children in foster care, children whose families just simply cannot afford it and more concerning children who have parents that are just not in a good enough place themselves to give to their kids. I think it would be awesome to select some well deserving kids and give them a day to remember. My daughters have actually been trying to create a club at their high school to recruit other kids to give back and work with local agencies. This prize package would go a long way to brighten a underprivileged child’s or children’s day. Thank you for the opportunity.

Growing up I had always had my future “planned” or so I thought I did. When I went to college I had planned on meeting my husband then getting married right after graduation. I was engaged to a sweet guy and had our wedding date set for July of 2005. Well that didn’t happen. We didn’t see eye to eye on things and decided it was best to part ways. That was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my life. That summer I just prayed about what the Lord would have me to do for a future job and in 3 short months He lead me to a wonderful church where I would be the secretary and meet my future husband, Larry! We dated for a couple of months and knew we were PERFECT for each other! We were married in July of 2006! We worked together at the church for 5 years then I became pregnant with our little girl, Mariah Leigh. We will be celebrating her FIRST birthday come October and I would absolutely just love to decorate her party with this fun party giveaway!

It would be amazing to win this for my sons birthday. He is 2 right now will turn three in September. I became pregnant with him when I was 17 and I debated on placing for adoption or being a single mother and when it came down to it I decided to be a single mom. He has changed my life for the better and my bad ways. I never knew I could love someone so much. He helped me graduate high school, and go to some nursing school. He has given me that motivation. I just recently got married March 2012 and I have never been able to give my son an amazing birthday to show my appreciation for what he has done for me! And what better time to do it than now, when he has two loving parents and two very loving and supporting sides of grandparents and aunts and uncles who would love to share the day with him.

My daughter will be able to have her birthday here before we leave with all of her friends, but my sweet little son will have his in our new home of Rhode Island where we don’t know anyone. I would LOVE to surprise him with a super fantastic party to make up for this big life change. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to win this amazing prize!!

Hi, my name is Alicia, my sons name is Aydin, he will be turning 6 this year. and we live on a budget i am sure just as everyone else does and well things always come up, but i am sure you all say that is how it is for everybody. but it seems to happen a bit more to us. like this year we have several thousands of dollars worth of pop ups already…and last year we had too many to mention and bc of these alot of times, we miss out, my son included on things. last year it was his bday party, we visited my mom one day, my dad another and my husbands mom another. they all made him a cake bc we didnt ahve the money to throw him a party. now this year again, we are struggling to put together a party for him. and its going to be a cake by me, maybe a balloon or two and my dads backyard, bc i felt sooo bad last year not having any kind of party that even if i have to use the tiniest little bit i have to have the some resemblence of a party this year, i am going to. so i hope you all would vote for my son, not me, but my son who is a wonderful little boy with an autism spectrem disorder who i always want to give the world too and well most of the times cant.

I would love to give both my daughters a beautiful party like this. One will be 9 on July 26th and one will be 1 on July 19th. I am planning on having both partied at the same time same place due to finical reasons. I asked my oldest daughter if she would be okay sharing her birthday party with her sister due to our reasons and she was more than delighted to share it. I know there are others out there more deserving than I and may the best person win. Just hoping my girls can have a awsome funfilled birthday party!!

name is Alicia, my sons name is Aydin, he will be turning 6 this year. and we live on a budget i am sure just as everyone else does and well things always come up, but i am sure you all say that is how it is for everybody. but it seems to happen a bit more to us. like this year we have several thousands of dollars worth of pop ups already…and last year we had too many to mention and bc of these alot of times, we miss out, my son included on things. last year it was his bday party, we visited my mom one day, my dad another and my husbands mom another. they all made him a cake bc we didnt ahve the money to throw him a party. now this year again, we are struggling to put together a party for him. and its going to be a cake by me, maybe a balloon or two and my dads backyard, bc i felt sooo bad last year not having any kind of party that even if i have to use the tiniest little bit i have to have the some resemblence of a party this year, i am going to. so i hope you all would vote for my son, not me, but my son who is a wonderful little boy with an autism spectrem disorder who i always want to give the world too and well most of the times cant.

  39. Melissa Nichols says:

I would love to win this party giveaway for my daughter. Last year I went in for an emergency c-section six days before her birthday. My baby was born six weeks early and spent about a week in the NICU. I got out of the hospital two days before my daughter’s seventh birthday. Having just had a c-section, I was unable to do anything for her birthday. I didn’t even have any presents for her. I felt horrible. Luckily, I had a few new school clothes I had bough the week before so I wrapped them up and gave them to her. My baby was still in the NICU so we were trying to spend as much time at the hospital as we could. With all this going on, my daughter’s birthday was kind of skipped over minus a few pieces of clothing she opened on her birthday. She was such a good sport about it and never complained. I felt horrible that I couldn’t do more for her. This year I want to make it up to her and give her a special birthday party that she will never forget!

  40. Candace Fuller says:

My sweet husband and I have been married for eight years. We had our first baby in December of 2007. Things were so hard financially then. My husband had been without a full time job for a year prior to our son’s birth. Even with a new full time job, we struggled with paying our bills from month to month along with the mounting hospital and doctor bills from our son’s birth. When our son was 10 months old, my husband accepted a job at a large church doing what he loved – graphic design! We moved from Alabama to Texas within just a couple of weeks of him getting the job. We had no friends and no family around, and we were terribly homesick. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to have a special first birthday for our little boy surrounded by his family and people who love him. It was just the three of us. Even though it was still special to us, I feel like our families missed out on the celebration. They also missed the birth and first birthday of our new baby girl. We will hopefully be returning home again soon, and we would love to have a big celebration with our kids and family. Winning this giveaway would help out SO much!

  41. Leslie Krzan says:

I would like to nominate my best friend Stephanie. She is a fabulous young (31) mother to 3 kids, 11, 5 and 4. She lost her husband (Todd) to cancer last year and has been doing an incredible job raising these kids by herself. Last year, she had a birthday party planned for her 4 year old, but Todd was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and missed his little boy’s birthday party. She pulled all her strength together to give him the best party she could, knowing his Daddy wouldn’t be there. A month later, Todd passed away right before his 5 year old’s birthday who was devastated that his Daddy wouldn’t be there to meet Chuck E Cheese with him. I would love for these boys to get a do-over for their parties this year and have beautiful personalized decorations to make some new memories. Thank you for your consideration!

  42. Sara C. says:

My name is Sara and my daughter’s name is Emmy. I would love to be able to have a party like this for her because she is the sweetest, happiest, and funniest kid I know. When I was a little, my mom always gave me the best birthday parties and I want to carry on this tradition with my little girl. I am blessed to be able to stay at home with her but clearly we are on a huge budget because of it. My favorite birthday I ever had was a mermaid theme at the local YMCA pool. I would LOVE to re-create this theme for my daughter and she is turning 3 this year so I think it would be the perfect party for her. My daughter will never know my mother because she passed away from cervical cancer in 2005, but how amazing will it be to show her pictures of my mermaid party and her mermaid party when she’s older?? And hopefully, one day she will have a daughter too and also pass along this party tradition. Good luck to everyone! What a great give away! Thanks so much, Sara

  43. Heather C says:

i would absolutely love to win this for my daughter’s first birthday party. I was 13 weeks along when i found out I was pregnant with her. it was a joyous and yet terrifying time for my husband and I. After multiple trips between my doctor and the hospital we were reasured that our baby was healthy and growing fine. We chose to name her Shiloh which means “God’s gift.” because she was truly our surprise gift from Him. A week before she was born my husband started a second full time job as well as his classes for his mastets degree. That left me with full responsibility of a newborn as well as our 2 year old son. It has been a very blessed and yet beyond stressful year. I would love to be able to throw my daughter a beautiful party without having to worry about the added stress and financial burden that party planning often brings. Because to me it would be more than just a birthday party. It would also be a celebration for our family that we made it through our craziest year yet.

  44. jen smith says:

The most deserving people I know would be Mike and Brenda Fick. We have known the Fick family for a long time. Mike and Brenda were church youth leaders to both my husband and I when we were in high school. When we got married we began to help out in the youth group, along side Mike and Brenda. Their two older children, Shannon and Ryan, came through the high school ministry during the years we helped out and their younger son and our oldest son are best friends. Our lives have been intertwined for many years. Sadly, on June 17th, Ryan was killed in a motorcycle accident at the age of 26. The family is devastated at the loss, the last words of his obituary being “Life is not the same without him”, but Ryan would be the last one wanting everybody sitting around crying over him. He lived life to the fullest, had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. Although now may not be the appropriate time for a party I believe in the months to come it would do many hearts a lot of good to celebrate life again.

  45. I met my husband four years ago when both of us where going through bad breakups. My best friend suggest that we get together and maybe have coffee- she swore she was not playing matchmaker. That cup of coffee turned into a relationship and life that I had only dreamed of. We married two years later and I gained two adult sons and now we have a little boy who is 8 months.
My husband is everything to me. He suggested that I become a stay-at-home Mom after our son was born and follow my dream of pursuing photography. In short, he has made all my wishes come true and I am planning on giving him a 50th bithday party this September to do something that he never does… celebrate and focus on him! It would be wonderful to get some help doing this!

  46. I would like to nominate myself and my sister. We are twins celebrating our 30th birthday on December 30th. We are both small business owners doing our best to stay afloat in this tough economy. We both have 2 small children and live about 5 hours apart. That, and the fact that our birthday falls between Christmas and New Years has made it nearly impossible to celebrate it together. We would love this opportunity to spend the extra money to be together, rather than on party supplies! Thanks for your consideration!

  47. Kara Hendrick says:

Well I absolutely love all your party ideas. The one person I would like to nominate my is my niece Dr Jessanna Smith. After High School Jess decided she wanted to become a Dentist. She did her years of college and settled down on Tybee Island Ga where she recently opened up her own practiced called Tybee Teeth. This past Spring, Jessanna’s office that she had been renting, was sold to another Dentist, and unfortunately it ended in one big ugly mess for her!! With all that Jess had gone through, she still manged to stay positive and focused on caring for her patients and doing all she could to make sure they were cared for at all times. Jess purchased a new building and is doing remarkably well today. I recently read an article in their local newspaper stating how sad it was for what Dr Jess had gone through but the Island of Tybee was so PLEASED to have her there. The comments that others left were simply amazing… I couldn’t be more proud!! But the one thing I have known about Jess ever since she was a little girl, is that she donates, volunteers and would do ANYTHING for anyone, but when it comes to her on the receiving end, she never asks nor wanting for anyone to do anything for her!!! She truly is an amazing person and a one of a kind Dentist. So, surprising Jess with a beautiful party would be wonderful and what better timing, it will be her 30th birthday is in Aug and I couldn’t think of a better way for her to celebrate it…

  48. Jaime says:

If I won this party, I would throw a party for my mom. She is a nine year old girl at heart :) She watches my children once a week while I go to work. She takes them on incredible journeys in their imaginations. They are princes and princesses, warriors, knights, pirates, and more. She gets right into the action with them and they look at her as though she is magical. She is giving them priceless memories. Her childhood, however, was not nearly as magical–I won’t go into details, but I can say that it was filled with tragedy. And for her to come out of it on the other side with her child-like wonderment and imagination in tact, is amazing. To be able to give her something like this, from her grandchildren, would mean the world. She would be in such awe! And I would love to be able to do that for her. What an amazing way to thank my mom for all she has done for me and the joy she has brought my children!

  49. Seanna Roysden says:

Wow! What a blessing this great give-away package will be for some lucky family. I must say I am blown away by the generosity of the giveaway sponsors; this is truly a GREAT collection!

Well who I am writing for (unbeknownst to her) is my sister. She is a talented, bright, loving person who actually owns her own graphic design business. Her creative talent is often stretched to the max and time and time again, she has come through on many an occasion for not just me, but for countless friends, family members, and acquaintances, giving her time and talent to make their special day unique and just for them, often at little or no cost. So can she do these fabulous and wonderful designs, themes, etc.? Yes, she can. But for once I want HER to be the one blessed by the generosity of others and get to truly sit back and relax during a time of celebration.

What is this time of celebration, you may ask? Well let me tell you a little story. A few years ago, my sister and her husband felt God calling them to adopt a little girl, provide her with a loving home, and show her that she is worth something and is precious not only to them, but to God (please note, I am not including names for privacy sake). So they (with their biological kids support) entered the foster system as foster parents, which is an arduous and time consuming task.

All that aside, they now have welcomed not their second little girl into their home after the first was given back to the biological family, and there are hopes for adoption after raising this little girl as their own for the last 10 months. Nothing is concrete yet, but my fondest wish for her would be to win this party package and for me to be able to present it to her so she can throw a FANTASTIC and MEMORABLE adoption party for this little blessing we want to be a part of our family without having to slave away at all the things that go into making these parties wonderful; we all love this little girl and would love to truly welcome her to the family in style. That is why I would love to win this party package; not for me, not even completely for my sister, but for a little girl who has touched all our lives and deserves a new start with a loving, caring family.

    Thank you for listening.

  50. Monique says:

I would like to win because my daughter has her 1st birthday coming up in August. We have had a really rough year and I think she deserves to have a great 1st birthday. It started in February our car broke down and we had to buy a new one with the little money we had. We bought the car on a friday night, then my husband drove it to work for a graveyard shift. not even 10 hours later my husband got into a bad accident, our new car was totaled. Luckily a street light stopped the car from going off the over pass. We didnt know what to do about the car, we hadnt even owned it long enough to get it in our names. Then not even a week later my husband was fired from his job. I am a stay at home mom, so that left us with no income at all. I had no clue how I was going to buy diapers and formula for my little girl. After my husband losing his job we couldnt afford to pay our rent, so we also lost our apartment. We currently live in my mothers basement and get by with one part time job, its a struggle. I would love to be able to give Delanie the birthday party she deserves.

  51. Elizabeth says:

I would be honored to win this amazing giveaway. My twin girls are turning two this month and I’ve been trying to find a special way to celebrate. My journey to motherhood was a long and difficult ride, but now being a mommy is the best job in the world. Each day I savor the special moments I’m able to share with my girls. Our family feels so blessed to watch them grow. I love making memories with them and since we have two turing two I feel like this birthday is extra special. I would love to be able to throw them a party that is full of color, whimsy, sparkle and pure magic just like them!

  52. Janet Botteri says:

Hi, my name is Janet and my little girl’s name is Brissa. She turns 2 at the end of August and I would love to make her an awesome party. Now, the reason that I would love you guys to vote for me is because this is what I love to do, planning parties and taking pictures. My husband can pay for a party but every year I try to convince him that is all worth to make our little one’s day special we ended up fighting. I do not work since my first one (now 4) was borned. I would love to do parties as a business. I have a certification as wedding planner. I believed this would be an excellent opportunity for me to show what I can do and start building a portfolio of events and start adding some money to our family since the economy is not that good. Most of the time we do everything for our kids and I ask now an opportunity for me. Thank you.

  53. Rachel says:

I would like to nominate my gorgeous son Ashden. He is the funniest and sweetest little man and has had a very tough time after many nights of no sleep andnon stop screaming for probably over a year he has been diagnosed with Restless nLeg Syndrome. No matter how horrible he feels he could be crying from the pain but yet he still has the mist gorgeous smile on his face

and he never stops looking out for his two brothers. His birthday is in August and we can’t afford to throw him a party but wished we could treat him and make his day so specialand he

  54. Jennifer Bailey says:

Hi my name is Jennifer and I would like to nominate my 5 year old daughter Mia for this give away. Mia was 3 years old when she was diagnosed with a condition called chiari malformation. She has undergone numerous tests, doctors appointments, and evaluations over the past two years. Recently some new issues have begun to surface and we were forced to bring Mia back to the specialists to find out what is going on. Mia always goes to every appointment with a smile one her face and with a patience and willingness to cooperate for the doctors. Mia is a sweet, loving, and brave little girl who enjoys playing Legos with her big brother and playing “mommy” to her baby sister. My husband and I have always believed in letting Mia live every day to the fullest and allowing her to experience everything life has to offer. Mia loves to play dress up and dance like a fairy princess! We would love to be able to provide her with a “big girl fancy party” as she so lovingly calls it, to giver her a day all to herself so she can just experience the joy of being a kid. Mia is truly one of a kind who melts the hearts of all who meet her! Thank you in advance for considering Mia for this giveaway!

  55. Leslie Pollard says:

I would like to nominate my sister to recieve this birthdya package. We are trying to throw a birthday party for her on an extremely tight budget. She is mentally disabled and is the most amazing person I know! Every year my mother and I throw her a party however this year it is a little more complicated. My mother was diagnosed in August 2011 with gallbladder, liver and brain cancer and has done all the chemo she can take. At this point we are just taking it day by day and we want to make this birthday extra special for her since this will most likely be the last birthday my mom will celebrate with her. I became a stay at home mom to take care of my mother so money is very tight for us. We would be honored to recieve this party package! Thank you in advace for taking the time to read this post.

  56. Danielle Bartlett says:

If I won this party it would be for my daughter Sophie who is going to be 9 this year. Over the past 2 years she has been such a trooper through all of the trials our family has been through. We lost our house and have been living with my mom and every time it seems as though things are finally turning around and looking up we get knocked down once again. My daughter has had to give up so many of the things she loves to do since we can’t afford them. She loves tae kwon do, soccer and pottery and we had to pull her out of them. She had to give up having her own room and now shares with her sister and brother who are both much younger than her. Top it off with her birthday is in December and so everyone is always too busy to come to her party. If we win we will have an unbirthday for her in the early fall as a fabulous thank you for being so loving and giving even when we can’t give her everything she would like and deserve to have.

  57. Rachel says:

The most deserving person I know is my awesome husband! He has spent countless hours helping me do my things, set up all sorts of activites for church and school, taken time off work so I could go to PTA conventions, meetings and events, set up tables, chairs, 5ks etc, etc. Most importantly he supported me after I tore my ACL at our church’s girl’s summer youth camp. He sat with me at the hospital, brought me home in my drugged and in pain state, filled my ice pack over and over and over, helped me to go the the bathroom!!! shower, stand up, sit down, watched the kids, cleaned the house, made dinner and mopped the kitchen floor by hand for months after since I cannot kneel. He took me to physical therapy and laughed and cried with me because it hurt. And through it all he has laugh at and with me as I have worked to rebuild muscle strength which helped me to not become discouraged. I don’t blame him for laughing at me especially when I skip because let’s be totally honest I do look like a total idiot when I try to skip! (I need to post a video on facebook because it’s amazing what you can’t do when you’ve lost muscle mass!) Also deep down inside I would love to have a party come to me all planned and prepared so I look awesome, which hasn’t happened in a long time (see reference to skipping skills) and my husband feels like a king!! Isn’t that why we all want this amazing birthday prize!! I know I do.

  58. Ann B says:

I would love to win this party for my friends little boy. He is two years old and he is fighting cancer. He is a brave little boy and do are his parents. They’ve have already been through so much but have a long road ahead of them. I would love to be able to give him a party to celebrate his birthday. They have so much going on right now but a birthday party would be a great way to celebrate the happy great things they do have right now.i would make it the best party to help them focus on the good happy moments. And this little is so deserving of this and would love it. The whole family is so sweet and so strong and I would love to be able to make their day just a little bit brighter with a party!

  59. Amanda B. says:

I lost my job last month and my fiance’s 23rd birthday is coming up in August. He is the most amazing man in the world. We have postponed our wedding because of my job and it would be great to win because otherwise, I won’t be able to give him much of a birthday. He surprised me with the most romantic proposal in December with the exact ring that I wanted. I want to give him a wonderful and memorable birthday this year! :)

  60. Victoria says:

I would like to nominate my parents. Now that I am a mom myself I can understand the love and devotion that my parents have always shown to me. I always took for granted everything they have done for me. They are both the most loving, caring, giving and just plain awesome people I know. I would love to throw them a party just to show them how much they rock! It would be just a small gesture of appreciation for everything they have done for me and my siblings over the years. They are always to willing to give of themselves! I would like to spend a day or two just honoring the wonderful couple they are. Next year is their 40 year anniversary and this would be such a wonderful way to celebrate such a strong and everlasting love they share.

  61. Michelle Jones says:

  62. Athina says:

If i won, i would want you to give it someone else that deserves this great prize. I myself would love to win and have a party for my own family to celebrate life and to live it to the fullest each and every day as we never know what the next day brings. But i’m sure there are many others that need this more than I. Thank you.

  63. Nichole Hall says:

Hello! My name is Nichole. My mother-in-law is probably the sweetest person I know. She hasn’t had it easy through life, but she has always kept a smile on her face and stuck strong to her beliefs. She has 6 children. Her eldest, Jeremy, passed away 6 1/2 yrs ago. One is struggling (has been for years) with a drug addiction. Two others have moved away and her youngest is now serving a mission for the LDS church. ( My husband & I live next door to her.) She has been a single mom for 17 yrs and has done more for her children than most can dream of. She fights for her family, doing whatever she can to help & lessen the burden. For the past several years, she has helped care for her parents. Her mom has since passed on from Cancer & her dad is battling dementia and alzheimers. This is the first time in her life that she hasn’t had anyone in her home to care for. She is under appreciated and unfortunately, we are not financially able to give her a party…or even a gift! (Her birthday was just this past Monday). She doesn’t care, she just loves her family! This would be so completely unexpected and something she would just love! I love her. I want so badly for her to have a few minutes where she can just feel free & not worry about what tomorrow may bring!!!

  64. Cecilia Haedo says:

I live in Argentina, so of course, the party won’t be for me. Two of my nephews live in Utah and we never shared a birthday party together. I would love for my nephews to receive this so I could in some way share their birthdays with them.

  65. Jeanie Deters says:

Last year I had breast cancer and went far away from home to receive treatment, most of which was not paid for by insurance – not to mention all the expense of living away from home for over 6 months. But we prayed for God to guide us and our prayers were answered, as I am now healthy (although it took all of our savings and we are still living paycheck to paycheck.) A few months ago I found out exactly how healthy I now am – I found out I am expecting baby #10 in October! but that is not all! My 20 year old daughter is expecting my 1st grandbaby in September. AND we just found out my 21 year old daughter is expecting my 2nd grandbaby in January! We have been talking about how fun it would be to have a pampering party for all the pregnant ladies we know instead of a regular baby shower. We know a bunch of women who are expecting around the same time. this would be so great to win since none of us really have the finances to throw such a party, and then we wouldn’t have to ask others to chip in, either! thank you!!

  66. Ami Love says:

hello, am not too sure if someone from the UK can enter but will try my luck anyways, in october last year i had my first child, a baby girl called Maya. a month later i found out that i had postnatal depression, had problems breastfeeding her because of stress and not having my family with me in the uk. by the time she was three months me and my husband had to split because it was just too much, i am now feeling much better evendor i still cant breastfeed. me and my husband are trying to work things out and also trying to plan a very nice first birthday party for out baby girl. i would love a party like most of the pictures you have but cant find people in the UK that sell things like this. i have about three months till the party but because is only him working (lost my job just after i found out that i was pregnant) we don’t have much, so am trying to make most of the food for the party myself, (p.s. am not a very good cook LOL). let just say it would be nice for the party to look good as it not just her first birthday but it also a celebrations of how far we have come and how LUCKEY and BLESS we are to have a healthy baby girl who has just been great and make becoming a mother so eassy.

p.s. i will pay for the postage if i am that lucky to get it,

    thanks
    Ami

  67. nicolyn says:

I would be thrilled if I could win this giveaway for my fiance and I. We are planning an April 2013 wedding, and I am literally doing all of the crafting, decor, favors, centerpieces, flowers, etc on my own. We have had a long distance relationship from the start. Both of us were unlucky in love until we met one another. We certainly didn’t think we could be this happy. I had given up my dreams to care for my family because I was the only one to do it. And he works hard defending our Country in the United States Air Force. Until we met one another we were certain we were meant to be unhappy, but our relationship, although difficult because of long distances and crazy work schedules, is one of fairytales. We feel very blessed to have found happiness with one another. We are throwing a humble wedding celebration with intimate crafted details. I have thrifted most of my wedding decor, both because I adore vintage items and have found it more affordable to seek decor at Goodwills and local thrift stores. I will use these items again in our home. Our wedding has become an outlet for me to “give back” by helping the environment in recycling and reusing thrifted items, helping the local community by supporting local business and charity shops, and even using our favors to benefit charities that are near to our hearts. None of our wedding vendors are from big corporations, and I have sought out local family owned businesses in every avenue to support. We want our wedding to speak volumes about us, and instead of just throwing a party, we really wanted our dollars to benefit something. We aren’t asking anyone for help, financially or otherwise, (though some have graciously offered their services) because we understand that times are tough for everyone. Winning this giveaway would be the icing on my cake to begin my fairytale life with my husband. As a fellow small business party planner, I can truly appreciate all of the special details in these items, and can assure they would have a privileged place in our day, and in my heart. Either way, this giveaway will bring joy to someone, which is what all parties should do, and I will marry my soulmate! It’s a win/win :)

    • Nicolyn says:

Sorry, due to an “error loading the website” message, it appears I’ve posted my comment twice as well. Pretty much the same idea both times. Sorry!

  68. I believe my sister-in-law, Nicole, is incredibly deserving of such an awesome gift! As the backbone of a large family, she has given everything of herself to make sure each and everyone of us is taken care of. She is the encourager, the voice of reason, the settler of disputes, the words of kindness. She’s given her time to run our errands, do our taxes, bake our party cakes, babysit our children. She’s used her credit, spent her money, offered advice, talked us down from ledges and done our dirty work. She’s frugal and watches her pennies, but spares no expense with her heart. In the last year, she’s given up her cushy, stay-at-home mom gig that she loved, to work so her husband could start his own business.
Now her baby sister has finally met the man she’s going to marry after so many years of searching and Nicole is so excited to throw her a beautiful bridal shower at any expense.
I would love to see her be given the appreciation she deserves in a way that she would fully appreciate. She doesn’t want for anything but to give and provide, so what better way than to throw a party?

  69. Jessica says:

I would be thrilled to win this wonderful prize package. We are in the middle of planning a big bash for our sweet little girl, and with four kids the budget is understandably small. She has come to us through the foster care system, and we are so beyond blessed to have the opportunity to become her forever family. She was born severely premature, so in addition to celebrating her adoption being finalized we will also be celebrating her first birthday. It’s a miracle that this sweet baby is even alive, and we are so incredibly humbled and grateful that we have had the privilege of nurturing her back to health. We would love to be able to dote on her and spoil her for her big party, and that’s exactly what this prize would allow us to do!

  70. Maria says:

I’m a disabled, divorced Mom and also a cancer survivor. Money is unbelievably tight for us so there’s never anything left for “extras”. My daughter is turning 13 soon and I would love nothing more than to give her a huge, fun party like this! She is such a big help to me with her little brother and takes on a lot more than twelve year-olds really should. I feel so badly that I can’t give her the kind of party that she sees her friends having, but there are months that I have to borrow money just to put food on the table for my kids. I know that in the grand scheme of things, fancy parties aren’t all that important. But the memories made from having a big deal made out of your special day, surrounded by friends and family, can last a lifetime. I would be so thrilled to be able to give my sweet girl the kind of party that she deserves.

    Thank you!

I would be thrilled to win this giveaway for my fiance and I. We are planning an April 2013 wedding. We have had a long distance relationship from the start. Before meeting one another we both were unlucky in love. But after meeting one another we truly feel as though life is beginning to turn around for us! I had given up my dreams to care for my grandmother and father, and he works hard defending our country in the United States Air Force. We both figured it was our destiny to be unhappy and alone, until we met one another. Although our relationship has stresses due to long distance constraints and crazy work schedules, we both feel extremely blessed in finding one another. We cannot wait to enrich each others lives, and begin our newest chapter. We are throwing a humble and intimate wedding celebration in which I am doing every decor item, centerpiece, favor, and craft singlehandedly. I have thrifted much of our wedding decor at local Goodwills and charity shops, both because of my love for vintage items, and because I have found it more affordable to do so. These items will be reused in our home after the wedding. Our event has been an outlet for me to “give back” by reusing and recycling thrifted items to be environmently friendly, and to support local charity shops. I have sought out local small businesses to support in every avenue of the wedding planning. We want our wedding to be, not only a party, but a detailed reflection of us as a couple, and for our wedding dollars to actually make a difference. Our favors will also benefit charities that are dear to our hearts. We haven’t asked anyone for help, financially or otherwise, (though some have graciously offered their services) because we understand times are tough for everyone. As a fellow small business party planner, I can assure that these items would hold a treasured place in my heart, and in our big day. I can truly understand the value in the smallest of handcrafted details, that speak volumes. Either way, this giveaway will make someone happy, which is what all parties should do. And I will get to marry my soulmate! It’s a win/win! :)

I should probably start with a little background. I am a military wife whose husband has now served in two of our country’s military branches. Currently he is in the Coast Guard and serving in Houston, TX. Prior to this he was in the Marine Corps and served in both North Carolina and in twice in Iraq.
Before we had our children my husband was given orders to deploy for his second trip to Iraq. We prepared for his departure only to find out, as he was on the plane, that I was pregnant. I was just able to call to inform him as they were ready to take off overseas. Needless to say he spent the following months of my pregnancy in Iraq. When he returned with the intent to re-enlist for another term the Marine Corps gave us two choices; one was for him to ship off to Okinawa, Japan for two years leaving me and our unborn son behind, two was to get out of the service. We chose the latter and were forced to find a way to support our growing family and pay for the birth of our new child.
Once we got our bearings after making the adjustment to becoming parents is when we made the decision to join once again, this time into the Coast Guard. He received orders to training across the country only to once again find out that we were pregnant less than two weeks before his departure. As you can guess being in the military lifestyle has not been great in the sense of him being there for holidays. For this reason there has never been the opportunity for us to throw our boys a party with their Daddy present, like the one this package would offer. This package would make this dream of ours come true.

I would LOVE to nominate my sweet daughter Ashlyn. She will be turning 5 at the beginning of August and we’d love to throw her a party that includes all of the wonderful details in the Party On Designs giveaway. We just celebrated her sister Summer’s 3rd birthday/anniversary on June 21, who was still born at 40 weeks, and now Ashlyn is very excited to get to celebrate her very own birthday on August 3. She has Barbie on the mind and we’d love to give her a party with adorable accessories and everything her little heart desires. After we lost our daughter Summer three years ago, it was the smile and happy-go-lucky personality of our daughter Ashlyn that kept us moving forward and into a positive light. When I asked her what she’d like to do for her birthday, her response was all about the cake (of course!). She responded, “Mom, I would like to get chocolate cupcakes for all of my friends, with pink frosting because everyone likes pink. AND, I would like to get one little bitty cake for me, but it has to be chocolate because that’s my FAAAAVORITE kind! I LOOOOVE chocolate mommy! Ok?” So I would love to win this give away for her and make her day extra special.

First, I just have to say, WOWZERS! What a fun group of party gals.

My little Max is going to be turning 1 on July 15. He is such a wonderful addition to our family and would love to throw him a birthday bash worthy of his awesomeness.

After having Max’s older brother (resulting in a broken tailbone, postpartum depression, and a seriously bad stitch job, I wondered if I could ever have another kid. Well, soon enough, the joy of parenting overshadowed all those doubts and we started thinking about having another child, at which point I had my second miscarriage. I couldn’t allow myself to feel too bad, because I had already been blessed with an amazing little boy. But, luckily, we found out we were pregnant just a short couple months later.

Now I am pregnant, living in a new city/state 17 hours from family, working as an at-home medical transcriptionist, finishing up my last 2 semesters of my B.S. degree, supporting my husband in his first real job out of college, and trying to keep up with a busy, darling little toddler.

Too much throwing up, non-stop hip pain, gallbladder attacks, and every bit of joy, excitement, and happiness later we got to welcome the little guy. Into our family.

Six days later we were on the road, driving 17 hours to visit family coming in from overseas. My 1-week vacation home turned into 2, looking for apartments, since my husband was just offered a job at a company closer to home. Max is 1-week old and has already taken a road trip, flown on an airplane, and now gets to learn patience while we pack and move. With me driving one vehicle and my husband driving the moving truck and towing our other car, all four of us had to put our sanity on the line to make it through the drive, especially when we were stranded in the middle of nowhere at dusk for almost 4 or 5 hours for a replacement tire for the trailer. Oh, good times. :)

At 7-weeks, I took Max in for his 8-week check-up. It was a mistake that it was scheduled early and I almost cancelled, because we didn’t have insurance. At the last minute I felt like I needed to go in. The doctor noticed him being fussy and that he had a low grade fever. They did a urinalysis and found blood. Something was up. Max had some diarrhea and was throwing up a bit and was struggling to eat. The doctor recommended we check him into the hospital. We would do absolutely anything for our kds, but it is still hard thinking about the amount of money the hospital costs. It took 15 needle sticks to finally get an IV in our poor little boy. It was heartbreaking. Then to top it off, he needed a spinal tap to rule out meningitis. With all of my medical background, I was not prepared for watching my own son go through that.

In the end, my little Max was okay, nothing too serious. He had to stay in the hospital for several days while we waited for his white cells to build back up to a tolerable level.

At such a young age, he had already gone through so much (even another move). But as he kept growing, he had to struggle with so many food sensitivities and allergies, it was rough; bananas, kiwi, rice cereal, dairy, so many. The worst reaction happened after he ate some eggs. Max’s ears swelled up so large, they looked like they would burst. His ears alreday poke out quite a bit, but this was a sight I have never seen before. His face was covered in red splotches and he seriously looked like a darling little chimpanzee.

You know what, though, through absolutely everything Max was almost always smiling. He is just a sweet, happy little guy.

He deserves a birthday worthy of a champion, because he really is such a huge champ.

His birthday is going to be a monkey/summer/jungle theme, since he is our little monkey.

Hi! I would LOVE to win this contest for my son’s 1st birthday on 9-11. I am a single hardworking mother that has been struggling to make ends meet. I have been so excited coming up with the ideas for his Seuss themed party that I have been planning and pinning for it since I was pregnant with him. I have all the creativity in the world but need some money to back it up. He is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me and I would just love to spoil him to the max! He has such a sweet and happy disposition with a smile that lights up any room! I am truly blessed to have the honor of being his mommy! Winning this contest would mean I could give the love of my life a huge Seusstastical birthday that I would not normally have the advantage of giving him on such a modest budget. Thank you so much for the opportunity of entering this incredible contest and your consideration. Best, Carissa

  78. Bethany says:

Hi! My name is Bethany. I found out this week that my cousin’s 11 month old daughter has a very rare mitochondrial disorder. In short, her cells don’t absorb energy and they die off. The scariest part of all of this is that we don’t know yet to what extent her cells are affected. Is it just going to affect her muscular development, as in having the strength to walk, or is it also in her organs? This type of disorder can cause damage to cells of the brain, heart, liver, skeletal muscles, kidney and the endocrine and respiratory systems, shortening her life. In order to find out what organs are being affected, a lot more very specific genetic testing must be done and their family’s insurance does not cover any of the testing or the doctor she needs to see is in San Francisco. Their family lives in Arizona and they are devastated by this news. They have spent a lot of time in the hospital with Kinsley over the last two months, just trying to find a diagnosis. I have been trying to think of a way to help them fundraise, as they do not have the money to cover the medical and travel expenses needed to take the next step in helping her. I was hoping to have a bake sale and donate all of the money from selling gourmet cupcakes to their family. Now, since seeing your amazing giveaway, I’m hoping to turn this idea into a 1st birthday party/fundraiser for Kinsley and sell cupcakes and other goodies there for her sometime this summer. If you visit http://www.UMDF.org and also http://www.MitoAction.org, both will teach you about what little Kinsley is battling. Thank you in advance for your consideration! {And I like all of your sponsors on Facebook.} : ) I am having trouble posting for some reason, I’m sorry if this posts more than once!

I would love to win this amazing giveaway as a gender-reveal party for my oldest daughter. After suffering a miscarriage earlier this year, prayers were answered and we will be welcoming a little one at the end of November. As with so many others, money is tight,(her husband was laid off a month ago), and winning this giveaway would make her party one that soon won’t be forgotten. Many thanks to all for this wonderful opportunity!

I would like to win this awesom giveaway for my baby girl Mira’s 1st Birthday coming up in August.

Hi! I want to say I have been browsing your site and all I can say is AMAZING!

I would love to win this for my daughter, Gracie, who will be 9 on Oct 7. She has had a pretty rough year with her father and I divorcing and us moving about 40 mins away from home. Gracie, my son Rudy and I now live with my boyfriend and his 4 children. We have a great life, but I recently lost my job so his income is supporting all 8 of us. I would love to be able to give my daughter the party of her dreams, but I simply can’t afford to go all out. Being the stay at home mom to 6 children has taken some getting used to, but I love it more and more everyday. To simply be able to give my child the birthday of her dreams would make my year the best ever. I don’t necessarily deserve to win, but I do think my child does, so just give us a look and if we win that’s awesome and if we don’t, well then at least we tried. Thank you.

Your site has brought me so much joy and inspiration. I would be delighted to win this great giveaway to finally be able to give my daughter Natalie a birthday party this year. I am a single mom and while I make do there is no room for extras. I see from the other posts that it will certainly be a tough decision and I feel somewhat guiltly for even entering, but I will do whatever it takes to make my daughters 9th birthday a great one as she has to get by without many special events in her life.

  83. Toni Rehder Lampman says:

I think this would be a great party for my daughter. She turned 9 this year and I have yet to throw her the birthday party she deserves. There have been some family issues with my grandmother having pancreatic cancer and all of us taking care of her 24/7 so she does not need to go to a home. My daughter has been very understanding and has not complained once. I had told her we would it towards the end of school for a change since her birthday is in February it would be change of pace. We have not had the chance since grandma has been getting worse by the week but is fighting hard. This would be a great way to surprise my daughter since I never go this far with the decor and setup for her parties.

We are in the middle of a mOve and are staying with my parents so this would definitely help more then u can imagine

A party for our sweet Bailey turning 2! TW0. She is such a colorful, sweet and funny little girl who is in love with Minnie Mouse. Her Daddy missed her birth due to being deployed to Afghanistan, so we plan on celebrating every birthday together hoping the next one will we be a family celebrating. Any holiday spent together is the best, but her birthday is the best day to celebrate our greatest gift; BAILEY!

  86. First off, you are an incredible group of people for hosting this giveaway and I know whoever wins it will be beyond appreciative – myself included.

It would be so amazing to win this giveaway and throw the ultimate 1st birthday bash for my almost 1 year old, Brayden. I am a single mother, working 40 hours a week as technical support in a call center, a part time nanny during the school year and a photographer as the cherry on top. As you can see, I’m absolutely swamped 24-7 and it breaks my heart that I don’t get to spend as much time as I want to with my precious baby boy. Therefore, when I do spend time with him I make it as memorable as possible. We go on walks, have fun sensory activities and enjoy every second together as much as possible. If I won this giveaway I would have so many beautiful pictures from his first birthday party to show that even though I’m not around as much as I want to be, I worked as hard as I could, and did everything it took, so that I could have the absolute best for him – because that’s what he deserves. Even though he’s almost 1 this will be the first time a lot of my friends and family are getting to meet him, because people are even visiting from out of state and it would be so beyond awesome to have all these beautiful things to make it as memorable as possible. :-)

I would LOVE to win this FABULOUS party for my daughters 1st birthday! We are a military family and always stationed away from family and friends. This will be the first birthday of our 3 children that we will be home for. I would love to have it be special for everyone, including the birthday girl!! Thank you :)

Honestly, I’m sure there are many others more deserving of this totally awesome giveaway than I am/we are. I’m just a humble mama who loves Christ, my family, and my job/business of photography. We tried to concieve for 2 years before we found out we were pregnant while vacationing with our best friends in Florida during christmas. Last year was Oscar’s (our son) first birthday and my friends laughed at how big of a deal/celebration I made it. Let’s just say I paid a lot of attention to detail. After his party was over I sat at the table in exhaustion with my mom, sister, and husband. One year. I had never reflected on one whole year in my whole entire life. I talked about all the fun firsts we got to see with Oscar a long with some personal heartaches and tragedies we went through as a family. I cried, smiled, laughed, and just praised God for such a sweet blessing to remind me of how wonderful life is when you’re a parent. As his second birthday nears (at the end of August) I’m here again…in the same place…looking back at all the blessings we’ve recieved. I truly believe if it weren’t for Oscar’s sweet face I wouldn’t reflect, evaluate, improve, be inspired, have laughter, and an even stronger love for Christ and life. :)

I would be honored and amazed if I win such an awesome contest. My daughter celebrated her 1st birthday on January 17th. We threw a party on January 21st, which was the same day she came home from the NICU last year, so it was kind of awesome to celebrate her turning one and the anniversary of her coming home! Anyway, her first birthday was hit by a snow storm and people didn’t come and to top it off, my father, Hailey’s grandfather, decided to go out for some drinks before the party, so the guests that were there got to see my little girls grandfather drunk on her first birthday. We threw the party at my parents house, so there I was sad and embarrassed and I vowed that next year, for her 2nd birthday, I would throw her an awesome party to make up for the horrible one she had this year. She is the most beautiful, kind, funny, and smart little girl any mommy could ask for and we would love nothing more than to have a memorable blow out for her 2nd birthday! She deserves it and I deserve it too! I want to try to erase the memory of her 1st birthday with something amazing for her 2nd and I hope you can help! :) Thank you!

Hi my name is Jodi and I am a stay at home mom of 3 beautiful girls.
My 2 oldest children are very close in age and their birthdays are only 4 days apart.
Recently due to some medical issues with my youngest we incurred quite a bit of debt and had to file bankruptcy and now due to this we can no longer afford to provide a birthday party to my children as our payments are so high.
I cant bare to not let my children at least have a birthday party and they are only 5 and 4 and cant understand why they cant have a birthday.
It breaks my heart that I cant provide that for them. So please I know there are a lot of people begging for this prize package but for the sake of my 5 and 4 yr old we would LOVE to have this prize.
    Thank you!

I would LOVE to win this so I can throw a beautiful baby shower for my best friend who recently found out she is pregnant. She has been trying for this baby for a long time but between suffering from endometriosis and other medical issues has had a hard time conceiving, and the 2 times she has managed to get pregnant she lost the baby to a miscarriage. She has overcome so much throughout her life both medically and emotionally, but still remains the kindest, most caring person I have ever known. She always puts others before herself, and does whatever she can to help those in need. This baby is truly a miracle for her, and I would love to be able to throw her a memorable, beautiful baby shower that both she and her baby deserve. Thank you!

I would love to nominate my lovely friend Sharee Davenport! She is only 19 with a baby boy who is about to turn one and she is one of the most amazing people I know. She makes the best out of every situation. She has been building career as a photographer that she has grown from the ground up, she is singlehandedly raising her adorable baby on her own, and she has a heart the size of Colorado. She is ridiculously responsible and takes such amazing care of herself and her child even though she has been handed a lot of opposition. I know Sharee would love to be able to throw her baby boy Brayden an amazing first birthday party without having to go into a financial strain over it. She loves that kid more than anything in the world and is struggling to spend the extra money needed to get his first birthday party into something memorable and spectacular. I honestly could not think of anyone more deserving of all this wonderful stuff than Sharee. She is so warm and kind hearted and giving even though she does not often get much in return. She still always smiles and keeps her head high though. She truly is an amazing woman/parent/friend/human and I hope that she is given the opportunity to win some of this fantastic party supplies.

I’m very happy to say she is a healthy happy little girl. The therapist is working on getting her to walk & I know in time it will happen! I was unable to buy her anything for her birthday this year due to my husband being out of work….so…I would love to make it up to Kenadie by being able to give her the BEST birthday possible next year with these beautiful decorations that people so kindly donated. Win or lose I want to thank you for this wonderful giveaway that is going to make a little girl or boy VERY happy!!

I would love to win this party for my daughters 1st birthday. I am glad we don’t have a sad story to persuade voters.I feel that we’re just your average American family, trying to live a decent life in a bleak economy. I am a teacher and my husband is a disabled Veteran of the US Navy. In the 3 years we’ve been married my husband and I have two beautiful little girls. I want my baby to have a wonderful birthday party. I think a lot of times her big sis takes center stage, she deserves to be the star and the amazing work of the incredible designers involved in this giveaway would make that possible. I think birthdays are also about celebrating the friends and family who’ve supported your child, so this party would also demonstrate how much they all mean to us. Best wishes to all those applying, I hope your precious ones have amazing celebrations!

I would LOVE to nominate my miracle baby Paisea Arabelle. She will be turning two October 21st. I have three Amazing girls, but Paisea has a story. When I was 27 weeks pregnant, I became very ill and had to go to the ER. The doctor’s thought our baby had Cysitc Hygroma. I had never heard of such a term. It is a mass on the back of her head much like a tumor. I was very familiar with the term tumer. I knew God had a plan, I have worked with special ed students most of my life, so I just prayed for direction. That Friday I had a MRI to get a better look at the mass on her. I was in the MRI machine for two hours praying. My husband kept telling me a million times that everything would be fine. The results were amazing, she did not have Cystic Hygroma, but they still did not know what the mass was. We went home and I took a nap. My Mom watched our three and four year old. After a few hours I woke up from my nap and went to the play room, as I was sitting down, I felt like I peed my pants. I went to the bathroom and blood was everywhere. I yelled for my husband and he got me in our van with my Mom. His mom watched our girls. My Mom lives two hours away so looking back that was another miracle that she was there that day. I could feel our baby pushing and my contractions were very close together. We were on the turnpike and I knew we were not going to make it to the hospital. Richard called 911, they quickly arrived. I was loosing so much blood, I begged God for our baby’s life. My Mom was begging for mine. The ambulance got there and I was in labor, but was not dilating. They rushed me to Wesley Medical Center and I had an Emergency C-Section. The mass on our baby was my placenta abrupted. God is wonderful and prayers were answered. I remember waking up and asking where my baby was. It was 2 hrs before we could see her. I did not go back to sleep until I seen our baby girl. She was the most beautiful tiny litte angel I had ever seen. Her fingers were the size of rice. We spent the next two and a half months living at the hospital and going home to take care of our other girls. We finally brought her home on Christmas Eve. Such a blessing! Best Christmas gift ever! Our journey has brought our family closer. I wrote a blog on http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/paisea it is a website for families that have a loved one in the hospital. Today Paisea is doing amazing! She is still very small she wears 6-12 month clothes. She just started physical therapy this week. She is mentally just fine, but physically she is a little behind. Paisea Arabelle would love to be a winner. She is our Sunshine! She reminds me to not take life for granted.

Being a single mother, is a TOUGH job. I work full-time to provide for my little one and go to a University full-time as well. When I found out I was pregnant in high school, I decided that I would not let that hinder my goals and dreams. Although I don’t get to spend as much time with my 8 month old beautiful baby girl, Sophia; when I’m at work or school; I think about her future & providing the absolute best for her. Sophia is turning one on October 13th and I have been working extra shifts throughout the week just so that I can have a decent party for her. Winning this giveaway would mean the absolute world to us. She deserves to have an amazing party & we would really appreciate this.

If I can put a smile on his face for a couple hours that would make my day.My brother Dominick fights everyday to beat CANCERS BUTT!! My mother is a single mother and can not afford to throw him a lavish party. She had to quit her full time job to take care of my brother. This party would mean so much to us. Thanks again for the wonderful opportunity!!!!

I really think that Desiree and her family are the most deserving for this party for her little brother! Imagine the impact that this will have in his life and how much he deserves this! No 4 year old or any child should have to battle cancer; this would be a blessing for her family!

I never boast about my mommyhood because there really is no reason to feel superior than others in this…. adventure. Ive tried my best to be amazing and give my children what they want and to make their dreams come true. Of course like all mothers I’ve had successes and failures. But the best thing i can say about myself being a mother is the joy it brings me and the smiles on my kids faces because of me. So my idea of a party isusually small. I have four kids and because of that we dont do much for birthdays- zoo trips or eating out but never parties. My twin faughters birthday is coming up. They are the oldest so they usually dont get much attention with a toddler running around and a newborn to take care of. They always help though and always look at me like I’m their superhero. Id love to throw them a huge party thar they deserve for being amazing children and not only show them they deserve the world and to have fun but to show them that they mean everything to me. It wouls be the best twin 5 year old birthday party ever!

  102. Michelle says:

Hi, I am a stay at home Mom who has three kids ranging from 4yr, 21/2yr and 11month old. My kids are vary close in age, and they are my world!!! I am vary blessed all my kids are happy and healthy.
We are just an average family who doesn’t have a whole lot of Money, but we have a whole lot of LOVE!!! and that to us is most important. I would love, love to win this give away for my son J.J who will be three in September. He is just most loving and funniest little boy ever!!! And he deserves to have a fabulous party. Because it seems every year when his party comes around we just don’t have the money, so he tends to go with out, or just something really small and throw together spare of the moment thing.
At his last years Birthday was at a local park with no decorations just a home made cake and a few family members. But shortly into the party some how he had fallen and broke his elbow, and had to be rushed to the E.R. So it would be a true blessing to win this party give away and give my son the best party that totally out does last years nightmare one!
Thank you for all the that made this give-away possible!. And Good Luck to everyone one who has enter to win!. I know times are tough and the economy is bad, and as Mothers all we want is to give our kids the world, and sometimes awesome things like this comes along and gives us that opportunity to show our kids just how special they are for their special day :) Keeping my fingers crossed we are in it to win it!!!!!!!

Hi there I am a proud mom of two incredible kids who I love dearly! This past year has been one of the most difficult however. I was pregnant with twins last year and unfortunately lost my second son at 20 weeks. I spent the next 5 weeks hospitalized and at 23.4 weeks gave birth to my beautiful daughter who was just .96 of a pound. It was one of the most challenging times watching this very tiny miracle go threw so much and beat the odds stacked against her. Every day for 135 days I split my time between caring for my new baby in the NICU and my older son. I want this party for my little girl Olive who had less than a 10% chance of surviving for her first birthday coming up in July. This little miracle brings us all such happiness despite us loosing a family member and she is the best baby ever! During her stay in the hospital my husband lost his job and I feel terrible that we can’t afford to make her the kind of party she diserves. Winning this would mean so much to me and family!!!! Thanks for considering us.

Hello! My name is Anu and I am a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful little boys! My little guy Ezekiel will be turning one this August, and I would love for him to have the most special birthday! Amidst all the chaos of our lives, this sweet little boy has been such a good sport and has kept us grounded with his joyful spirit.

It was only five minutes after my water broke that my husband received the phone call that we were being sent to Turkey with the Air Force!! This was a huge surprise to us and a whole lot of stress and change for our little family. Zeke was only three months-old when we moved to Turkey in November of last year. His first Thanksgiving was a blur in our jet-lagged memories and among a sea of unfamiliar faces. His first Christmas was even more of a disappointment as we had not yet met many people and all our decorations were on a boat somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. Even our single strand of second-hand Christmas lights blew out five minutes after plugging them into the 220 outlet. It was certainly a Charlie Brown Christmas…without the tree! Living where we are, our resources are seriously limited when it comes to finding party supplies. We are in a foreign country where we don’t speak the language, and our small base frequently runs out of even the basics such as milk and meat.

It would mean the world to all of us to give Zeke a truly special first birthday after a year of forgettable “firsts”! We were able to do so much more for our first born, but we won’t even be with our families for Zeke’s birthday. I realize that we are living overseas, but our APO mailing address has us still technically in the US and does not cost more than shipping to New York. Please consider our Zekie in your contest for a spectacular first birthday! Thank you!

I wish I could give all these wonderful party items to my BFF. She loves to decorate and beautify more than anyone I know. She can make a pile of junk look awesome with a couple cake stands and a table cloth.
With he hubby heading to medical school, the budget it tight! SO for littlest babies First birthday she is skipping most of the fun *extras*. Its also her middle childs sixth bday coming up! She had dreamt up the cutest circus party and I would love to help her make it happen. Her parties always bring friends and family together in way that not everyone is can do, and I she would adore the chance to do this one up right!

I’m a stay-at-home mommy of triplets! I had troubles conceiving so when we found out we were having three, we were over the moon happy! I carried them until 35 weeks gestation and was bedridden for about three months during the pregnancy. Thankfully, they were all born very healthy and only spent two weeks in the NICU to learn how to feed and to grow. Five weeks later, on their due date I was hospitalized and was close to losing my life. The man upstairs has been looking over our family for sure. My husband and I are so blessed and we love, love, love our family so very much and we want to give them a GREAT first birthday party. If we win the pize we will be able to give our little miracles the best first birthday. party.

My parents got divorced when my sisters and I were young. That left my mom as a single mother raising 3 little girls. Me being the oldest I had step up especially when it came to my little sisters. My whole life I have taken on the role of sister/parent for my baby sisters. Last year my sister got married and now a year later we have just found out that she is expecting. I am so excited and would love to give her the best shower! She doesn’t do a whole lot for herself and I know my mom would really appreciate the help. I love my family and this would be the best opportunity to show them that!

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

My husband and I have been married for 16 years, we have 3 boys, and our oldest son has Autism. He is going to be 16, and we would love to give him the best 16th Birthday party ever! His birthday is in Jan. right after Christmas, and we’ve always tried our best to give him a party. It’s been hard financially since we’re a one income family, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Our oldest son has faced many challenges in his life, and overcome multiple obstacles. It’s hard for him to connect socially to anyone. However, this past year he has made strides that we always hoped for. With the help of Behavior Therapy, and a lot of hard work on all of our parts, he has overcome a lot of barriers that have hindered him from communicating with family and friends. He has come a long way and we’re so grateful for him, and for the blessings he has shown us. He is the smartest and brightest young man. He loves History, and Geography, it is his life. Every waking hour is consumed with these subjects. He even dreams about these things at night! He used to ask his grandpa about the Vietnam war, and watch old John Wayne movies with him. His grandpa is now in Heaven, but my son still talks about him, and misses him so much. He looks at the world with wonder, and curiosity. There is never enough information out there as far as he is concerned. We are hopeful for his future, and we know that he is going to do great things. He’s opened our eyes in so many ways, and we don’t know what we would do without him. He’s taught us how to be patient, kind, and to truly love from our hearts. If you could give him this party, it would mean the world to him, and to us. We just want to celebrate his life and how far he’s come. We’re so proud of him.
We are forever grateful to you for sharing this contest with us, thank you!

My youngest son is turning 7 just two days after his tonsils/adenoids removal surgery. I am really, really nervous for the surgery and also sad because he has had his birthday guest list (and gift list) planned for six months and I had to tell him that we couldn’t have a birthday party this year because of his surgery. I would love to be able to surprise him with a belated birthday party after his surgery. I would love to win this package!

I would like to do this for my niece and nephew. My husband and I aren’t able to have children so I really love to do things for my niece and nephew. My sister who had my niece suffered from horrible post partum and had to be hospitalized for a few days. She didn’t get to enjoy the 1st couple of months of her baby’s life because of post partum. She wanted to have a nice party to celebrate Liliana’s 1st birthday. My other sister who has my nephew is a single parent. So I think it would be nice to do a fun party for him.

  113. Whitney Paddock says:

  115. Lauree Hawes says:

I think my one of my best friend’s (Sandra) is most deserving of this amazing party. She is the most selfless person I know. She’s always there for her friends and family. She’s currently working two jobs to help another friend who is in a financial bind. She flies to help family members at the drop of a hat. She spends countless hours helping others; and she never asks for anything but love in return.

Last year was her 30th birthday; (in our group of friends all right around her birthday) one of us got married and another two had babies. Needless to say we did not spend her 30th birthday doing much. We had always talked about throwing her a big 30th, but it did not happen. We spent the her birthday changing diapers, burping babies and doing last minute wedding details. She was happy just being with her friends.

This year I’d love to surprise by throwing her an AMAZING 31st birthday. She truly is a loving and selfless person.

  116. Amanda S says:

I am going to try this again because my first comment didn’t show up! First and foremost, thank you to all these AMAZING vendors for such a wonderful opportunity!! I have been diligently *surfing* karaspartyideas for a few weeks now as I plan for my son Luke’s First Birthday. I have filled and re-filled the shopping cart full of fun party attire, only to close the window out each day. As much as my crafty heart wishes I could create such a beautiful Birthday for my first little guy, we just simply can’t afford it.
My son is our miracle baby, born after three rounds of in-vitro and infertility. We already had mounds of bills to pay when he was born, but unfortunately were hit with another round of difficulty- Luke was born absolutely beautiful- but with a cleft lip and palate, which came along with another stack of bills! His first six months was full of procedures and surgeries to repair this *tiny* defect – and the road has been rough and long for this little boy.
Luke is the joy of my life, and he deserves such an amazing party after a year of struggle. No little boy should have to go through weekly doctor appointments and pain, and two major surgeries before he turns a year old. But he has, and he wears a beautiful smile the whole time! His father and I couldn’t be prouder, such a little guy but already such a heartbreaker!
I am sure there are many, many deserving families out there- but we would love if you considered Luke and our family for this prize. It has been a rough year for our whole family, and an amazing party would add some *sparkle* to our lives! Thank you.

Hi, my name’s Liz and I’m 19 years old and a Photographer building my business. In about three weeks (7/20) I’m due for the arrival of my baby girl Emma. As a single mothers at a young age learning about the existence of my little girl was not something I felt comfortable celebrating. I never had a baby shower for that reason, nor could my family afford to throw me one they way we would want it done. For the past 8 months I’ve worked really hard shooting specials and shooting as a second photographer under an established Professional photographer, then used all of the money I earned towards buying everything that my little girl will need when she gets here.
Although I’m a single mother I am so grateful for the acceptance and support of the people around me not only about the arrival of Emma but also of my choice to build a photography business. There are people who would fly in and drive over from all over the United States to attend a baby shower after Emma arrives, which is a blessing in itself. I would be truly blessed to be chosen for this give away and be able to have the people who will come to meet Emma and celebrate her for the first time arrive to not just a mediocre baby shower but a fabulous celebration of her life, I think she deserves that, that all babies should be celebrated, regardless of if they were planned.

Not only would I be ecstatic to be chosen, it would take a lot of pressure off of my mother who has been so supportive as a single mother herself, to bare the expense of throwing a shower. Also, the party supplies would not go to waste! After Emma arrives I have a large clientele built up from attending baby classes at the hospital I’m delivering at and I would love nothing more than to keep the supplies for my upcoming shoots as my mother, grandmother and I make all of my props right now because I cannot afford to buy any.

If I won this giveaway it would not just be a reward for me, it would be a wonderfully special gift for my family while simultaneously helping me build my business. Thank you so much to all of the vendors and Party On Designs for this opportunity!!

  118. Adriana says:

The most deserving person to win this amazing prize would be my kids!! I am planning a birthday party for both in August. They both have the same birthday, my baby girl will be turning 1 and my handsome lil man will be 8. I was trying for a long time to get pregnant with Olivia and when she was finally here, we didnt expect her to arrive a month so early and on our son Moe’s birthday. It was such a blessing and like my son says till this day “it was my special birthday gift mommy”.

    Thank you!
    Good Luck to everybody!

  119. Rachel Giles says:

The thoughtof winning such a magical package makes me smile, becauseit would be used to celebrate one of the most amazing things that, a year ago, I wasn’t even sure would ever happen in my life and for my family: we have a new husband and papa that loves and cherishes my toddlers and me. You see, when my daughter was barely two-years-old and my son was six months old, I had to make the terrifying decision to pack us up and leave my husband and their father. It wasn’t safe for us to stay any more, and I couldn’t allow my precious children to see or become targeted in the ongoing abuse. The woman who didn’t believe in divorce found her self living on a futon with a toddler and a nursing baby, working full time as a paramedic, and ultimately, with the label of “divorced.” It wasn’t an easy road, but it is one that we had to walk. I had gotten to the point last October, where I accepted the fact that I may never have a husband and father for our family. And then, Ben walked in. I knew the first time we really talked that I was going to marry him, and six months later, I did. We didn’t have a wedding, though, and that is what this package will go toward. On September 15th of this year, Ben, myself, our now three-year-old, and almost two-year-old will be having the celebration of a lifetime. We never expected this to happen, but God had already chosen a man who fit our family perfectly. We are so thankful to have our “papa” in our life. As we are both firefighters, and I a paramedic and he a nursing student, we will be having an old fashioned 1920’s/firefighter themed wedding picnic. We are so very excited. Unfortunately, we have had to cut a lot of things out of our wedding budget because on an EMS/volunteer firefighter/student salary, we simply cannot afford many decorations, extras, or a videographer. Our purpose in life is to bring healing to other people–I have been able to speak to groups and have an online ministry to those affected by domestic violence. Our careers are designed to help others during their most tragic moments in life. We are so grateful for what we have and that our story can be used to help others. Please help US now have the wedding of our dreams!

  120. Stephanie Hightower says:

My name is Stephanie Hightower, I would like to nominate Emily Clark. She is an amazing young lady and her and her fiance (William) are expecting their first child. They are both working very hard to make sure this baby will have the very best life. William is joining the army and will be deploying before their baby girl Quinn will be born. Emily is an amazing young lady, she is currently in beauty school and she also helps take care of her special needs sister. She has an amazing heart and I know she will be a wonderful mother. Her own mom works 3 part time jobs to help make ends meet. I would love for her to win this so she can have the baby shower she deserves. Thank you !

  121. Barb Kohout says:

After looking at all of the wonderful party decorations, I knew I had to enter in the hopes that I would win this prize package for my first great-grandso,n Brayden’s, birthday because Brayden and his mother bring so much joy to my life. Of course we have a story like everyone else and I won’t burden you with it. Just know that my family would be the most thankful and appreciative because this is something that will bring so much happiness and fun to a wonderful little boy and the family memory will be cherished forever. Thanks for giving us the chance to win!

  122. This is a wonderful way to show off all your sponsers’ talents! My daughter, Patience is turning 13yr in October. I have started looking for a few ideas for a surprise birthday party. The color scheme would be white & black, maybe with one bright accent, because the theme would be her favorite childhood storybook “The Spider and Fly”. (Here http://www.amazon.com/The-Spider-Fly-Mary-Howitt/dp/0689852894/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341028184&sr=8-1&keywords=the+spider+and+the+fly). This book has amazing pencil & graphite illustrations which captured her attention as a little girl, and are still loved by her now. Patience deserves a really nice little party with her friends because she has been amazing this year. We moved half way across the country for a job, and she had to leave her friends behind. She didn’t throw a fit or even complain, in facted helped tremendously along the way. Then when the job didn’t work out and we moved back, she pitched right again. It’s been along summer and she missed out on a lot of activites that she would normally get to participate in because of all this chaos. Having a nice well decorated, special party would be a great way for her dad and I to show our apprieciation. Making it a surprise party would just be plain fun!

  123. Lorna Nickle says:

  124. Valorie Daniels says:

Such awesome stories here!!! My oldest son is turning 13 in September. Our back story is that I had him when I was 17 years old. I thought my life was going to be turned upside down and Boy was it….for the better. He is a truly amazing kid. Even as a baby he inspired me to finish school and college and start a career. For a 17 year old kid he was an amazing baby, never cried, was never sick, and was a huge help when he baby brother came along. His baby brother has multiple heart problems and has endured 2 open heart surgeries so a lot of attention is given to his brother and he just rolls with the punches. He always ask what he can do to help me around the house. He is a straight A student going in to 7th grade. He is involved in soccer, band, takes honor classes and was just recently inducted into the national junior honors society.
I really wanted to make his 13th birthday truly special and I thought about doing a movie under the stars party. We live in South Florida so the only thing we usually have to worry about in September is mosquitos. I have been looking for inspiration for this and I have found some amazing things on this blog (btw I stalk this blog like a hawk LOL…keep it coming) and many others. This package would really help to make this night super special for my soon to be teenager.

  125. I would like to nominate my cute mom. She lost her job 3 years ago and my parents have had to rent out their house for the last 3 years (they had a choice- rent it out, or lose it) and have moved in with my grandparents! I am so proud of them for being so smart despite the economy handing them a tough time! They finally get to move back into their house at the end of July- just in time for my mom’s birthday in August! She LOOOOOOOOOOVES Mickey Mouse, so I would love to throw her a Mickey-themed shower to welcome her back into their house. Things are still a little tough for them financially, so it would be fun to do something this cute for her- she sure deserves it!

  126. Nicole L says:

I have three beautiful daughters and we celebrate all three of their birthdays the same month. Two were born in July and the third the day after Christmas, so we do a half birthday in July with her other sisters. It would be wonderful to receive such beautiful party decorations. The girls would be in heaven. They are such girly girls and the best of friends. I have been truly blessed with kind hearted little girls that are always happy to share with one another and I can’t think of a better way to reward them with a grand party like this would provide. Thank you for considering our little modest family.

I have been trying to put together a fifth birthday party for my little girl. She was born missing about a third of her brain. Her optic nerves, hypothalamus, and pituitary glands are underdeveloped, which means that she is blind and dependent on supplemental hormones to maintain daily functions. She also has an underdeveloped central part of her brain, which left her autistic as well. She also has low muscle tone in the muscles holding her trachea open and almost died when she was an infant. For the first three years, she had to sleep sitting up just to make sure she could breathe. Yet, with all this counting against her, she is amazing! She has skills beyond that of a normal five year old. She has this way of understanding that surpasses her years. She is incredibly intuitive and intelligent.

Her birthday was June 11, and unfortunately, because I had to quit work to be a full-time mom to her, I cannot afford a birthday party. She has been asking for one everyday since her birthday and it breaks my heart to tell her “not yet.” I would really like this package so that I can quit postponing and give my girl the birthday party she deserves. She has worked so hard this past year and made HUGE strides.

I absolutely love all of the sites and hope to have a company of my own one day in the future since i love to embrace my creative side and doing what makes me happy and less stressed is what I want to do.. Until then I’ll look to the wonderful sites for guidance. I would love to nominate my sister Mari for your giveaway. We have been trying to plan her son’s 1st bday party for the end of July this year for some time now but it has become financially harder and harder on us. My sister and brother in law work crazy hours just to make ends meet. Im the god mother and said i would help out financially and design in any way I could in a budget but unfortunately i was recently laid off from work since i was unable to return due to medical reasons which prevent me from being able to do alot like I used to. My family usually relues in me for planning and budget advice but i dont have the physical strength to do so anymore. My nephews bday is a celebration of a miracle to us as it took her years to be able to have a baby. I feel so bad that I can not help as much as I would have loved to. My nephew is my angel and is what I look to for strength to get through everyday. As long as my family is happy i know i will be just as happy. My sister works so hard for her family she deserves to have a great 1st birthday for her son. In a way it will be like a bday celebration for her and her husband as their bdays just passed and we couldn’t celebrate as we would have liked. Thanks. And I hope whoever the winner is enjoys this awesome prize. I’m pretty sure somewhere out there there is a family more deserving than us but I am greatful for having the opportunity just to share my nomination.

I’m a mom of two special needs children…both on different levels of the Autism spectrum.Plus the mother of 2 year old twins. My oldest daughter was diagnosed with PDD/NOS and as you can imagine has had to sacrifice so much because of her disability and her brothers severe Autism dignosis. She misses out on alot of things other girls her age are doing and it honestly breaks my heart. She wants to take dance lessons…but the girls make fun of her because she is on a 7/8 year old grade level. And how do you explain to a 13 year old that we can’t attend a birthday party or family gathering because her brother will have a complete melt down because he is overwhelmed in crowds and mom doesn’t have any help because family just doesn’t want to deal with his disability? Her birthday is in August and i’ve been planning a party for her because she deserves to be a princess even if it’s for one day!She works so hard in school…makes honor roll…she deserves a break from our hectic life to have an awesome party! She is the sweetest, caring, most loving young girl and would absolutely love this! Thanks so much for the chance!

My oldest daughter will be turning 6 in a few months and I would really like to give her an extra special birthday party. After spending the last few months of my pregnancy (I have a newborn, 5 weeks old now) with high blood pressure and instructions from my doctor to relax to avoid full time bed rest, my daughter had to put up with doing mostly at home, indoor activities most of which I could do from the couch. Since her little sister was born, we have had to shift some attention from her to care for the baby and I worry that she is now feeling left out. She is an amazing kid and a great big sister and I would like to be able to celebrate her greatness with something truly great for her birthday. I would appreciate any help in making her 6th birthday her best one yet.

  131. Tahnee says:

I have honestly never thrown a super cute party in my life! I have also dreamed about it but when it comes down to party time I am never quite prepared! I would love to throw a cute 2nd birthday party for my little boy :) !! We have my second baby due end of August so family will be up here beginning of September for his birthday! I would love to impress them :) !!

  132. Whitney says:

I have been trying to plan a birthday party for Mom! although this might seem like to young of stuff for her, It’s not at all! She has been throwing amazing birthday parties for my sister and I our whole lives. (we are only a day apart) So all of our birthdays have been thrown together. Well this year we are having a surprise party for her. We moved a few years ago and we are inviting a lot of people to come. This stuff would be amazing for the party! She is the biggest blessing. I could not have asked for a better mother. She is so caring and supportive and always been there for us. This would be an amazing thing to win and be able to use for her party in August!! Thanks so much for the chance!

  133. Jennifer Benator says:

My daughter’s 1st birthday will be a bittersweet day. She was born at 30 weeks on 11.11.11, nine days after I learned I had lost her identical twin sister. I had been followed so incredibly closely throughout my entire pregnancy, and I was seeing my OBGYN and perinatologist weekly at that point. I didn’t develop gestational diabetes or hypertension or preeclampsia, or anything that my doctors had told me would likely happen. And though I have the autoimmune disease named Hashimoto’s and my endocrinologist was concerned, I had no issues there either. That far into my pregnancy, I had been told that I was basically out of risk for twin to twin syndrome. Then, on November 2, 2011, I was at a routine checkup with my perinatologist. My husband was out of town and thank g-d my mom was in town and there with me. I knew as soon as they had the babies on the monitor that something wasn’t right. Everything just kind of went blank when the perinatologist came back in the room and said that Baby A no longer had a heartbeat. Of course, the first thing that I did was ask if there was something I had done. Then I asked her if she was sure, and if she could show me on the ultrasound. They had no explanation, and since I had just seen a doctor five days prior, they were concerned that I had just lost the baby and that I’d go into labor with Baby B. I was sent immediately to Labor and Delivery, but was allowed to stop at home and pack a bag. That was likely the worst phone call I’ve ever had to make in my life – calling my husband to tell him that we had lost one of the babies. I will never forget the sound that came out of his mouth. Thinking about it now still gives me the heart stabbing feeling it did then. I remember standing in the middle of my bedroom, looking around at the laundry that needed to be put away, the book on twins I thought I would finish that night, the pile of thank you notes I was in the middle of writing, and just feeling completely lost. I’ve heard people talk about “going through the motions” but I don’t think I had ever actually experienced that before, at least not in such a true form. I literally felt like a robot while I packed a bag of things I’d need in a place that I didn’t want to be going. And every time I passed a mirror and saw my baby bump, I was overcome with a feeling of disbelief, followed by total pain, and then complete numbness. This had to be a dream, right? People receiving such thorough medical attention don’t just lose a baby with no warning sign, right? How did this happen to me? And what about my other baby? What if the same thing happened to her? My mom and I rode in silence to the hospital, where, once in a room, I was immediately hooked up to fetal monitors, received steroids for the surviving twin’s lungs, and medicine to stop the small contractions I didn’t even know I was having. Nurses were in an out of my room all night long because the baby kept moving off the monitor and an alarm would go off to alert them that it wasn’t detecting a heartbeat… and it often took 10 minutes to find her heartbeat again. The first night was incredibly nerve-racking. I don’t think we slept at all. Once I’d gotten through the following 48 hours, I was moved to the high risk floor, where I was supposed to stay for another five weeks. They definitely wanted to get me to 32 weeks, and planned to reevaluate at 34 weeks. I started having ultrasounds every three days, and was on the fetal monitors for an hour three times each day. The morning of my tenth day in the hospital, I was wheeled downstairs for my regular ultrasound, and by the time I was wheeled back up, we knew we were having our daughter that morning. The perinatologist saw that my daughter wasn’t moving as much as she had been in my most recent ultrasound, and felt that the blood flow in her umbilical cord was “reduced.” We couldn’t wait any longer – the baby had to come. I quietly cried throughout the entire C-section, especially when I heard the doctor saying he was removing Baby A – I was scared and yet relieved at the same time. I wanted our daughter to keep growing safe and sound inside of me, but after everything that happened, it didn’t feel like inside of me was even that safe and sound anymore. Lily Eden came into this world 10 weeks early but even at 2 pounds, 12 ounces, we could immediately see that her strength to survive outweighed her tiny size. Strong-willed like her mother and fervent like her father, Lily challenged the obstacles set forth in front of her, and made immense progress every day of her 42 day stay in the NICU.
The loss of a child, no matter when it happens, is something that no person ever imagines they will go through. We started this journey in shock and awe that we were blessed with twins, and almost a year later, we still have the same sense of surprise and amazement. Within a little over a week, we suffered the indescribable loss of our daughter’s twin sister, were told that I would be in the hospital for another 5 weeks and then welcomed our daughter into this world. How do you celebrate the birth of your beautiful little girl while you’re still mourning the loss of your unborn child? Well, we’ll tell you – you just do. Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way we cope with it is what makes the difference. And cope we did.

So this November, while we celebrate the first year of Lily’s life, it will be even more of a sentimental time for us because we are also commemorating the baby whose life was lost. It’s difficult to start planning a party that I know will occur a week after the anniversary of Lily’s twin sister’s death, but I know that we have to celebrate Lily, our miracle, and all of the accomplishments that she has made in the first 12 months of her life. She’s an amazing little girl and we see a million miracles every time we look at her, and thank God every day for this blessing.

  134. Caryn says:

I just want you to know you are not alone! I too was pregnant with twins and lost baby A my second son about 5 weeks before my daughter was born 4.5 MONTHS – 16 weeks early! She spent 135 dats in the NICU. Ironically enough they were both due on 11-11-11 your daughters birthday. I completely understand the pain and loss you are going thru and all I can say is that it does get easier. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think if what I lost but also know my miracle I do have. If you ever need to talk I’m here!!! Stay strong my sister.

I Love all the stories! But I have to vote for #7 Because I know Alyssa, she may be a healthy normal little girl with her natural birth mother. But this little girl is so deserving to finally have something good happen in her life. she has see and gone through a rough 4 1/2 years. She has gone with out and don’t have the nice or prettiest things, when many kids around her have so much! and she doesn’t let it effect her she still is the sweetest and caring person :) Please no one get me wrong in any way! I’m so sure all these kids on here are deserving of it and they should all win and I pray nothing but good things for them!! I say everyone wins ;)
