This impressive WIZARD OF OZ THEMED PARTY was actually a fabulous WEDDING! It was submitted by Kylie Kakouratos of Sweetpickings Candy Buffet.
I can’t believe all of the amazing details that are in this celebration! What a fun party theme full of amazing ideas!
Some of the highlights to look for are:
  • The 7 layer candy covered rainbow cake
  • The muesli cereal “straw” for the Scarecrow
  • The silver macarons for the Tin Man
  • The clear glass ornament “bubbles” hanging from trees carrying Glinda the Good
  • The cookie toppers that have a Dorothy silhouette wearing red ruby slippers and are surrounded by a circle of blue gingham
  • The wooden lollipop tree stands
  • and so much MORE!

Very Cool! I love the cake and the way the desserts/candy coordinated with each character or element in the movie (green candy/Emerald City, “metalic” macarons/Tin Man, jello and lollipops/over the rainbow, etc). I also enjoyed the Oz figurines – they were classy not cheesy – WONDERFUL JOB!! What a fun wedding this must have been!

Thank you lynne. Hals the table was black and white with gingham, the other half was the yellow brick road and they met in the middle at emerald city. I wanted touches of wizard of oz,not ott wizard of oz. somitslovely to hear classy to cheesy. :-) thanks for commenting. Kyle sweet pickings.

This was so awsome. You thought of everyting and then some. If I ever decide to get married again I am certainly going to have a Wizard Of Oz wedding. From everyone dressing up and playing their part, to the best Oz Feast there is. And the things I could do for the reception. You have given me so many ideas. I can’t wait to try them out.

I’ve been using Movable-type on a variety of websites for about
a year and am worried about switching to another platform.
I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

do you make dessert for people to order???? Like anything for wizard of oz?.

  9. Often the pieces are replaced with cheaper quality alternatives, and this can be very disappointing to learn soon after the purchase.
Having the perfect opera gloves is essential but finding them through a retailer who
can offer them at a good price is hard at best.
The stones last longer by having a lesser chance of falling apart when they are set in prongs.
