Pink, Gold, and Old Party Details:
This is what Lauren said about planning/styling the party- “Our family had quite a year in 2013. We lost our baby boy to Trisomy 18 in November 2013 and I turned 30 just a few months later. I knew I wanted to do something special yet low key with all of the people that loved on us so much through our journey before, during and after our little boy Wills’ 15 day life. We had the party at my parents house which turned out to be the perfect location for the cozy celebration of entering a new decade.
My mom, sister in law and I came up with the theme “Pink, gold and old”… not that 30 is old but we thought it was funny. Our houses were covered in confetti for weeks during preparation. We ordered most of the party goods from a really cute store in Jackson, MS called Thimblepress. I bake French macarons so I was sure to have plenty of those to go around! A family friend who is a caterer cooked the food, Margaret Ray of Mem’ries Catering in Canton, MS. And another close friend who is a photographer, Jana Rodrigues, came and took the pictures! The cake was made by The Cake Diva out of Jackson, MS and it was absolutely delicious. The flowers were done by Lesley Frascogna of Tulip, also in Jackson, MS.
All in all, it was such a sweet and special night to celebrate life and turning 30”.
