Pink + Gold Glitter Baby Shower Details:
This is what Lindsey said about planning/styling the party- “When we first chatted with mom-to-be Annie about what she wanted for her baby shower, she was pretty specific about not wanting a “traditionally themed” shower. However, those were pretty much her only instructions. So when it came to picking a theme, we decided to go with a larger color scheme as opposed to a classic baby shower theme. Using the color scheme of pink, peach, mint and gold as our inspiration, a lovely shabby chic baby shower is what came to life. We also wanted to give Annie an extra something special with the shower – we ensured all of the shower décor was reusable for her nursery.
Keeping with our rustic theme, the Flower Patch provided beautiful pink and coral roses along with baby’s breath that we arranged in glitzy gold mason jars for the tablescapes. We kept with the mason jar idea and had a lemonade bar complete with regular and peach lemonade, mint leaves, peaches, and gold sugar-rimmed mason jars with pink striped paper straws. We added a sweet little printable to the lemonade bar encouraging those who wanted to “spice up their lunch” with a splash of champagne.
Because Annie wanted something a little more unique, we didn’t want to have her play the same ‘ole baby shower games. We also knew that the she was a very crafty person herself. Using the mom-to-be as our inspiration, we decided to have a craft activity instead of a game… and what does a little girl need more than headbands! We set up a DIY headband craft station where each guest (and the mom-to-be!) could create sweet little headbands in various sizes. The “designer” then attached a tag that said what size it was and who it was from. How much sweeter does it get?!
Our favorite details were all the DIY projects we provided. We made pink, white and mint poms, heart and circle garlands, a pink and gold feather wreath, pink and peach tutu’s, and a personalized banner, just to name a few. The grandmas-to-be all loved the most sentimental detail – two fabric-wrapped canvases with pictures of the parents growing up, from babies to the proud parents-to-be they are now. For every party, we love to give them a special touch that the honorees won’t forget”!
