Planning a DIY St Patrick’s Day Party is easy with the help of the creative minds at Michaels! You can easily throw together a fun after-school surprise for your kids and their friends with the help of these St Patrick’s Day Party Ideas. Michaels is your St. Patrick’s Day Party headquarters! Pick up shiny shamrock necklaces and leprechaun hats for your festivities.
Just think of their faces when they rush through the door and see piles of rainbow-colored frozen ice cream, leprechaun-approved gold-leafed serving dishes, and darling details such as gold coins, tassels, and more! They will be so happy they will kiss the blarney stone at once!!
Supplies from Michaels:
- Gold coins
- Green and gold tassel garland
- Mini rainbow piñatas
- Heidi Swapp mini light box
- White ceramic bowls
- Gold leaf paint
Begin by using your gold leaf paint to paint the outside of the white ceramic bowls. It is easy to paint bowls because your hand can hold and steady the bowl from inside. Just wear gloves if you don’t want errant paint on your paws. Set the bowls aside to dry.
Prepare your celebration table by placing green and gold tassel garland, mini rainbow piñatas, and gold coins as you please on the table surface.
Get your mini light box set up with your preferred message and place it on the table.
Scoop the ice cream into a tray. I used many different colors and flavors for a rainbow effect. I had my tray on hand at home, but Michaels has a fabulous selection of trays! You can slide your rainbow-filled tray into the freezer until you are ready to serve so it stays cold.
Before the celebration place the gold-leafed bowls and spoons on the table and then immediately before the party starts you can retrieve the ice cream from the freezer. Your little (and big!) leprechauns will be delighted!
