Elegant Spring Anniversary Party
Elegant Spring Anniversary Party Details:
This is what was shared about the party- “Thanh & Hoa celebrated their 30th Anniversary in Spring 2017. Erica feels so much joy and pride to call Thanh and Hoa her parents. They’ve shown unconditional love for her, each other, and for their family. They are often being the support system for their extended family as well.
Thanh & Hoa immigrated to the US as teenagers with not a dollar to their name but filled with many dreams. They’ve worked long hours and made many sacrifices to ensure a comfortable life for their family. But they couldn’t do it without the support of one another, and thankfully, they are the perfect life partners in every way.”
Every year, its been tradition for the past decade to celebrate their anniversary at their favorite steakhouse, Taste of Texas. However, this year, with it being a big milestone of 30 years, Erica, with the help of her friendors in Houston’s amazing creative community, wanted to shower them the love they showed everyone else by throwing them an intimate celebration. The party was hosted in Thanh & Hoa’s home in Spring, TX with their closest family and friends – some of which were at their wedding 30 years ago!
The 30th anniversary is also called a “pearl anniversary”. The color palette was inspired by the natural beauty and color versatility of pearls with the primary color as white and ivory with pops of soft blush, red and mixed metallics. The celebration was a renewal of their marriage 30 years ago therefore, subtle vintage elements were woven in as a nod to a modern day in homage to something old.
The creative team came through and made the celebration a gorgeous evening to remember. Maxine of Lovely Soiree took the vision and ran with it, creating the most stunning floral backdrop for the dessert table and simple, yet elegant table decor using vintage style votives and pillar candles. Erica of Wink by Erica made her parent’s favorite desserts from coffee macarons to cream brulee with a sweet berry chantilly semi-frosted cake on a vintage table from Decor and More Rentals.
Erica and Fawn of F. Dellit Designs worked on a wedding together the day before. Fawn graciously provided fresh blooms to adorn the desserts. This added pops of blush and red to the table. Holly and Ben of Arts by Aaron provided a stunning silver and white paper floral backdrop for guests to take pictures. Kristen of Kristen Leigh Letter & Design created a gorgeous calligraphy sign on a vintage gold frame. Displayed throughout were pictures of Thanh & Hoa’s sweetheart portrait shoot from Rachel of Rachel Stubbe Photography.
Past & Present
The food served was homage to new and old as well. They served traditional Vietnamese fare from Thanh & Hoa’s home country which was also the cuisine served at their wedding. The usual tradition is celebrating their anniversary at a steakhouse. So, a family friend, Eric, who is also a sous chef at a steakhouse in Houston, grilled up the most delicious rib eye, lamb chops, shrimp, and lobster.
Hoa and Thanh shared their words of advice. Hoa said, “30 years is not easy but trust, faith, and lots of love is the key to a strong, timeless marriage. Know that each day, month, year together is a blessing.” Thanh is not a man of many words. But, when asked about what he thought about 30 years, he gave his biggest smile and said “hard work and enjoy.” Indeed, for all of Thanh & Hoa’s many years of hard work it’s truly a blessing to enjoy a day filled with love, laughter, and good memories! Cheers to 30 years and many more!”
