Thanksgiving is a time filled with food, and I know you are probably busy mashing potatoes, stuffing turkeys, baking pies, and waiting for rolls to rise. However, the kids might need something to keep them busy and to stay the constant inquiries about whether they can help make a large mess with the potatoes and gravy.

Pull the pretzel rods out of the bag and separate the broken ones (there are bound to be a few!) from the good ones. You can snack on the broken ones while you create your turkeys

Open up a chocolate sandwich cookie and lay 8 candy corn on the cookie in a fan shape with the white tips pointing inward. Place these on a sheet of waxed paper or another flat surface. You will lay your chocolate-dipped pretzel on top of them.

Dip half of the pretzel rod in your frosting (if you are using a premade frosting, you might want to pop it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds). Using the back of a spoon, make peaks on the frosting to resemble turkey feathers. Lay on top of premade candy corn fan.

Place the eyes on your turkey while the frosting is still wet. As it dries, it will help them stick. Use a butter knife to shape a piece of the orange candy corn into a beak.
