Little Man Mustache Bash Party Details:
This is what Kara Abrahamsen said about planning this party-
This Little Man Mustache Bash was the perfect FIRST birthday for my nephew, Jagger! I simply adored all of the mustache parties out there and was so excited to get the chance to do my own! Jaggers mom wanted lots of chevron and fun boy colors; so thats what I did! Annye Newman from Faith Photography did a STUNNING job on capturing all of the party details!
Once the guest arrived they were given a mustache necklace, ring, or sticker! A FIRST birthday is usually more for the parents than the children? so the adults mingled and ate, and ate and mingled! Of course there were a TON of pictures being taken by everyone wanting to capture this moment! I had several different photo props on the table in a decorated cup for everyone to use throughout the party.
I used a grey chevron fabric for the back drop and the underneath of the dessert table covering. I wanted it to flow and be cohesive throughout. I then used an aqua scrunch fabric purchased at Walmart to go over the top and bunched together with safety pins. I had made tissue poms to hang from the ceiling, but during set up decided to put them on the edges of the table instead! I used a large poster from the printable collection on the backdrop and balloons to tie in color! I really love the look of the large 36 inch balloons!
I used grey chevron and stripe paper straws, purchased from The Bakers Confections, throughout the party. I attached mustache cut outs to the straws for the water bottles and also used them for the photo prop sticks. I purchased the adorable mustache and chevron wooden spoons from The Bakers Confections as well!
The suitcases are from Hobby Lobby in the unfinished wood section. I unscrewed the hardware and spray painted the various suitcases different colors. In the top suitcase I put grey chevron party favor bags for guest to fill with sweets as they left. There are always sweets leftover and I never want to take them all home!
I purchased a 6 pack of miniature wooden candle stick holders from Hobby Lobby and used them to make the individual cupcake stands. I spray painted them grey and using a hot glue gun, attached some cardboard coaster circles that I had spray painted navy.
I borrowed a wooden high chair form my Aunt so the birthday boy could do his smash cake in style! I attached a pennant banner made from this Mustache Bash printable collection and attached balloons that I added mustache stickers to. Jagger of course put the finishing touches on the high chair by sitting in it and looking cute! His adorable shirt was purchased from Baby Modern on Etsy.
The amazing cake was made by Butter Sweet Cakes and was a gorgeous focal point for the dessert table! The fantastic tie shape and mustache shape cookies were made by my best friend Alyssa, from Bonbon Du Jour. The adorable square chevron and mustache cookies were made by the talented TScookies. The Oreo pops were made by my friend, Lauren, they are always everyones favorite sweet to eat at any party I throw, and are usually gone in a flash! I purchased the cupcakes from Wal-Mart for cheap and then spiced them up with cupcake toppers made from the party logos in this printable collection. I put green sherbet in baking nut cups and placed adorable wooden mustache spoons on top”.
