Shabby Chic Bunny Party Details:
This is what Leni said about planning the party- “Isabelle approached me about 2.5month before the party and wanted to do a theme party set up. She wanted a bunny theme and I did show her some of my previous work (teddy bear that was made customised to the birthday boy’s teddybear” and she said her little girlloves her bunny rabbit that she has since she was a baby. Thus I help her design that theme and she wanted just simple colour theme, pink and white, I suggested blush pink and to do it elegantly.
The brainstorming and planning took a while almost 2 weeks finally we came up with what we what that is to have that dreamy shabby chic feel. The cake, cupcakes, cookies and macarons all were baked by me as my initial business started as making fondant cupcakes. I started baking about 4 years ago and it was mainly to make cake for my son. I used to be a fulltime working mother working as a marketing manager. Beginning this year, I decided to work part time only and decided to do more of my cake and event.
The guest favour ‘ marshmallow in a glass jar with a bunny ear’ were made by the birthday girl’s mother and I just supply the thank you printable for her. Everything else were made and style by me :)
The customised wooden name was supplied by me made by my furniture company and it was planned to go with the bunny party theme.
There were no games in the party but the guests had lots of fun taking picture at the photobooth corner with all the bunny props and all.
My favourite element was the bunny shaped cookies that I did for the first time as I wasnt too keen in baking 3D cookies due to time constraint but I really like the idea of hanging the cookies on my shabby chic jewellery stand that I just purchased just for this party :)
The welcome sign was designed by me, a chalkboard printout that is so in trend at the moment stating the birthday girl’s personal details on her favourite things and her weights etc. and I added the wooden 2 feet tall number one with flowers stick on it to add that romantic feeling.
The baby’s father’s favourite element was the picture collage that I did from newborn till 11 months hanging on the glass mirror. It took a while to do as each has to be precisely fit inside the frame I did and then cut the rabbit ears one by one and stick them all together using a tiny wooden peg, decored with ribbon. but the results were so worth it :) They took it and now its hanging on Xuan’s room.
