Owl Themed Valentine’s Day Party Details:
This is what Kate said about planning the party- “My daughters invited a few friends over and we had an afternoon party. The girls all brought their American Girl dolls as their valentine. They did crafts, munched on treats from the dessert table, had a tea party with their dolls and exchanged valentines with each other. It was such a sweet and fun time with friends.
The dessert table included cake, cupcakes with fondant owl toppers, ombre cupcakes, chocolate covered Oreos with fondant toppers, lollipops (with the adorable sucker covers found in the freebie), candy hearts on wooden rock candy sticks, rice krispie treats, candy bars (with candy bar covers found in the freebie) and owl cake pops.
The crafts included heart frame painting/decorating, owl bead necklace stringing, and activity sheets and coloring sheets found in Amandas valentine freebie. The girls LOVED the activity sheet. It was a HUGE hit with the seven/eight year olds.
There were several DIY projects throughout the party. Some included the heart trees on either end of the dessert table. (made by covering Styrofoam cones with paper hearts then a candle stick glued on the bottom for a base) I made the chair back felt valentine holders using stiff felt found at the craft store. And although it seems crazy (because it is), I covered juice boxes with cardstock and decorated so that they would resemble owls. (my husband told me Ive officially gone mad). I went OWL crazy!!! ;)”
