Monograms and Lilly {Pulitzer} Party Details:
This is what Deanna said about planning/styling the party- “My daughter, Mira, recently celebrated her 11th birthday. She is a preppy girl who loves Lilly and monograms. Lilly Pulitzers colorful, whimsical designs are a perfect match for birthday parties. A party based on her classic, fun style is a great way to welcome Spring! We incorporated the fun Lilly spirit into a small brunch for her and a few of her friends the morning after a slumber party.
Décor:
The décor for the party really started with the Lilly Pulitzer table cloth. When she decided on a Lilly themed party, I started looking for Lilly fabric for a table cloth. Unfortunately, I couldnt find any Lilly fabric for sale, but Garnett Hill was selling Lilly bedding. I purchased a twin flat sheet in the Lucky Charms pattern knowing it would be the perfect size for a tablecloth. The rest of the party décor was based off the pattern and colors found in the fabric.
I placed a woven charger on top of the Lilly table cloth at each place setting. The chargers were topped with white plates, Mikasa Susanne salad plates, pink napkins and a place card from our Flamingo Printable Party Collection. At each place setting, a framed menu card let guests know the brunch options. I made each of the monogrammed Lilly frames for just $1! The girls were all so excited that they got to take home their personalized frames.
The food table was first covered with simple white table cloths so it would not compete with the dining table. For the backdrop, I made the birthday girls monogram. It was another easy, inexpensive DIY project. This was my daughters favorite element of the party! After the party, she hung her monogram sign in her bedroom.
Food:
Brunch was served after a slumber party. For brunch, we served: Quiche Lorraine, Southern Style Biscuits, Sausage Links, Waffle Sticks, and Fruit Salad. Instead of a cake, Mira wanted to have donuts. Her donut cake was topped with a mini paper fan and a Happy Birthday party circle. I also made Flamingo sugar cookies for the girls to enjoy. A flamingo sugar cookie was also sent home with each of the girls. The girls sipped on Sparkling Lemonade in ribbon covered milk bottles. The girls even had their own little waiter to make sure that they had everything they needed! Miras little brother, Sam, was more than happy to wait on her and her friends for the morning!”
