Police Man Party Details:
This is what Bethany said about planning/styling the party- “My husband & I adopted our son in 2012. He was 5 1/2 at the time. This is his second birthday with his forever family (and only his 2nd birthday celebration ever), so we make it a point to celebrate BIG!!!! Walker loves the celebration & planning, and we love having a little one to lavish our love on. So, when Walker started asking for a Police Birthday Party, I got to planning! Our party color scheme was black, yellow, and grey. It all turned out as I envisioned, and my little police officer had a big time!
Dessert Table – Birthday celebrations simply must include the ability to induce a sugar coma, and this dessert table did not disappoint! The cake’s city skyline was the perfect backdrop for the retro fondant car topper from Edible Details. Also included from Edible Details were 3D fondant cupcake toppers – police badges and police hats. Themed fondant Oreos from Maria of Love & Sugar Kisses are a staple at our celebrations. Little police officer uniform cake pops from Roni at
Roni’s Sugar Creations were not only delicious but super cute. We also had a little bit of stereo typical fun and served donuts at our Retro Police Party. They were a big hit with both adults and kids alike!
Drink Station – The drink station doubled as a Hot Chocolate Bar for the parents. I decorated the coffee cups to match the police party theme, and offered marshmallows and chocolate chips to accompany the hot chocolate. We also served lemonade and bottled water. The bottled water was party ready with personalized labels from Jaimee at Bushel and Peck Paper.
Party Printables – Gretchen of Three Little Monkeys Studio designed Walker’s Retro Police party printable collection. From the invitation to the ‘Walker is 7’ banner, I was in love. Her trademark vintage style pulled everything together beautifully, and cast the feel I was hoping to create for the party.
Party Decorations – Of all the decorations, my favorite is the Custom Party Wreath. That little police hat & the handcuffs had me smiling every time I looked at them. The Large Black Monogrammed Burlap Topiaries and the Ribbon Garland on the dessert table, as well as the Large Monogrammed Ribbon Topiary at the Drink Station were also party favorites. The Drink Station also featured a one-of-a-kind tassel garland from Tara of One Stylish Party. It was the perfect way to tie in all of our party colors. Walker also had a custom Police Officer birthday shirt made by Michele of Sweet Threads Clothing Co. The custom design was spot on, and Walker & I both love it!
Party Games – Hoping to encourage the kiddos to burn off some of that sugar, I threw in some fun party games. We had such fun! Without a doubt, the favorite game was the Donut Game. We handcuffed the the child’s hands behind their backs, & they had to do their best to take a bite out of a moving donut. It was a riot!!! A good time was had by all”!
