Floral Tea Party Details:This is what Jhoanee said about planning/styling the party-
“This Mother’s Day I wanted to do something special for the mums in my family. I wanted to make them special and have a little of “me” time. So my idea was to host an afternoon tea, with just the ladies, no kids and no husbands. I thought we were all in need of some downtime, most especially a little bit of quiet time. I don’t think my family had any idea what I was going to do since I just gave them an invitation. All the requirement I asked for was for them to wear pretty little dresses.
I wanted to create some kind of a vintage tea theme with lots of flowers and some beautiful china tea sets to set the theme. So I asked some gorgeous vendors to help me create what I wanted.
For the food, I made some tea sandwiches and some desserts (I also bought some pastries from my favourite patisserie down the road) and canapes. I had tea to offer and what’s an afternoon tea affair without scones. So I thought I’d make some of those too. It was a hit and I’m glad it was since it was my first time making them. They were well received.
It was a beautiful afternoon to spend time with just the ladies. We all enjoyed it”!
