Rainbow Mickey Mouse Party Details:

This is what Kim said about planning/designing the party- “My daughter is crazy about Mickey Mouse, so naturally, her 2nd birthday party was to include him somehow but I didn’t want your normal mickey mouse party, AND, I had the challenge of making Mickey appropriate for a girls party. I LOVED the idea of a Rainbow party, and so, best of both, A RAINBOW MICKEY MOUSE party was to be planned!

Being a crafter and eager DIY’er, I did the whole party by myself, which included making the party decor. I handmade the Mickey face pinata, created and printed all the party stationary, invitation included. I also made the chocolate covered oreos myself, very proud of these, and decorated with fondant faces made by the lady that did the Cake. I made Rainbow ribbon wands and Paper pinwheels for the kids – they adored these! My photo station wasn’t used as it was intended but I liked how it came out – this was just an old chalkboard I pulled from the garage and decorated. The rainbow jelly cups was not my greatest idea as they were very time consuming to make, but made a lovely pop of colour on the table!

Chelsey’s birthday outfit was also custom made. My grandmother made the skirt (I used the off cuts to create the rainbow backdrop on the party table) and I designed the image and had it printed on her vest.

It was truly a colourful celebration and we all had a great time!

I had so much fun putting all the pieces of this party together and would love to show all the moms on your blog, that it is possible to do yourself! I am so proud of this party. I put my heart and soul into my kids birthday parties, and this is by far my greatest result yet”!
