Beach Wedding Party Details:This is what Kara Woolery said about planning/styling the party- “My now husband and I chose to do a destination wedding in Mexico!! That meant that we would not get to celebrate with everyone we cared about! So we chose to do a Pre-Wedding Reception! I did not want to worry about decorating and doing anything when we arrived home as a newly married couple; so we did it before we left! I chose to do a beach theme using the same colors I was using for my wedding.
Seating Tables:
For the centerpieces I used hurricane vases filled with sand, shells, and starfish in the middle. I found some awesome aqua napkins at TJMaxx and used them to anchor in the centerpieces. My maid of honor painted and distressed the mason jars for me. Attached to the hurricane jars were large white 36inch balloons. Then we scattered seashells and mini starfish confetti from Oriental Trading on the top of the napkins.
Dessert Table:
The backdrop was created using a coral tablecloth found at TJMaxx in the clearance aisle. White sheer curtains from Hobby Lobby were hung on each side using a tension rod and Command Hooks. The burlap banner pieces were create by a friend of mine and I have reused several times for different parties. I just change out the printable circles inside of them! They were created by ruffling up burlap into a circle on cardboard (lots of hot glue). The LOVELY white sequins tablecloth is from Jeanette Quintero of Candy Crush Events. It was so elegant and stunning! The ribbon banner on the front of the table was made by Handmade By Jennifer Chase. It really gave a pop of color and touch of whimsy to the table. I found a lantern at TJMaxx for the side of the table and then used a garage sell picture frame find for the other side. I designed a Love Is Patient printable to go inside of the frame. I did the same Hurricane jars used for the centerpieces of the seating table to go on each si de of the cake. I found Birch Wood Circles at Michaels to give a bit of height. I used white milkglass stands purchased on Amazon to really help the colorful desserts pop! I wanted the cake to really stand out against the backdrop so I had my local cake lady, Jennifer, do all white with two pops of aqua! Smantha Brickwedde from The New York CakePopery did a stunning job on making and shipping the Starfish Cake Pops! They were delicious! The cookies were designed by Kimberly Rowland from Sweet Moments In Time! My sweet friend Lauren made the oreo pops that she makes for almost every party I do! They are always a favorite sweet treat
.Who doesnt love Oreos? This was my first time to use Mini Donuts on a dessert table
.and it definitely wont be my last! They were amazing and Deborah from Green Mountain Baked has the perfect touch for the flavor! They were delicious! Brenda Byers from Great Stitch created super cute Mr. & Mrs. Pillows for u s to use at the reception! We had several guest ask where the adorable pillows came from! Brenda also created a stunning and perfect beach/pool bag for the occasion!
The stunning Flower girl dress was made by Monique Rodriguez from PunkNPie Couture. It looked stunning on the beach so I had to show it off with these Pre-Wedding Reception photos!
The Event:
We had so much fun eating Mexican Food, Dancing, and Mingling with our friends! It was wonderful to see everyone before we headed off to the romantic beach for 2 weeks!”
