Christmas Elf Painting Party Details:
This is what Olga said about planning/styling the party-
” Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, little artists were painting, there was fun and excitement, no doubt.
The magic elves have become a timeless Christmas tradition that has created beautiful memories for children and families across the globe. Children of all ages look forward to annual visits from their mischievous friends, who, in addition to providing great company for daily play, never cease to amuse with their nightly adventures.
This holiday season u.Paint by O.riginals: Design & Stationery plans to add a fun and innovative activity to the elves visit itinerary; their new Me and My Elf Paint Party is sure to deck the halls with Christmas cheer and even a little paint splatter.
The holiday party described below depicts a play date hosted, in Miami, Florida, by a cute five-year-old named Victoria and her North Pole friend, Robin.
Styled by Olga of u.Paint and Yvette of The Salvage Snob, the venue was set-up to resemble a cozy Christmas cottage. Vintage furniture and pieces, as well as florals and accessories were used to create the look and feel of the event. Given the Me and My Elf theme, magic elves were positioned throughout, allowing the North Pole friends a clear view of the artists activity. Each elf was dressed with a green painters apron or Christmas-themed attire all exclusives of O.riginals: Design & Stationery.
A supply station was created alongside the wall behind the painting station. Supplies such as paints, brushes and palettes were styled atop a vintage green distressed dresser. White hydrangeas and mini red rose buds were placed within aluminum paint cans dripped with green and red paint. These were used to accessorize the station, along with wooden crates and mini tree slabs, which provided the perfect-sized seating for the magical spectators. In addition, twine and clothespins were used to create a clothing line along the front of the dresser to creatively display outfits for the elves. For an additional pop of color, one of the dressers bottom drawers was filled with white hydrangeas and abundant red paper crinkle.
To the left of the dresser, an abstract Christmas tree was created from a vintage wooden ladder, wrapped with a lighted tree garland and strands of Christmas-themed ribbon garland. Red paper fans were used to accessorize the tree, as were a collection of beautifully wrapped gift boxes, which were positioned at the bottom.
An oversized elf, sporting a u.Paint apron and Christmas tutu, sat to the right of the dresser, on a cushioned love seat. Vintage frames and sample masterpieces were hung on the wall above, creating a Christmas-themed gallery of sorts.
The painting station was created in the center of the vignette. Various kiddie-sized tables were positioned next to each other, to create one large rectangular table, suitable for eight guests. The table was covered with a white tablecloth and adorned by a Christmas-themed runner. Each place setting consisted on an easel, 16 x 20 stenciled canvas, paint palette, brush set and water jar. The artists sat on red-kiddie-sized Chiavarri chairs, which were adorned with beautiful Christmas-themed chair garlands. In the center of the station were three empty green wine bottles, which doubled as vases for white hydrangeas, giving the centerpieces some height.
Melted Snow from the North Pole was styled atop a vintage wine barrel. Each mason jar was adorned with a Christmas-green ribbon, daisy-cut lid, red-striped paper straw, and a square tag designed by O.riginals: Design & Stationery. (In fact, the complete paper suite was designed by O.riginals: Design & Stationery, featuring their signature elf illustration, customized to resemble Victoria, and personalized accordingly. The suite consisted of invitations, mason jar tags and gift tags for the party favors all including the same design elements.) Party favors, white hydrangeas, mini red rose buds, and a Christmas-themed ribbon garland were used to accessorize the drink station, which was positioned behind the painting station, to keep the artists hydrated throughout the craft session.
The starving artists enjoyed delicious Christmas-themed treats made by Party Creations by Arleen. The dessert assortment consisted of gingerbread man sugar cookies, Santa-belt chocolate-covered Oreo cookies, reindeer-inspired chocolate marshmallow sticks, and snowmen jugs made of milk and decorated powdered-sugar donut holes. At the center of the dessert station was a seven-tier Macaron tower made by Atelier Monnier. The sweets were beautifully styled atop a vintage ebony dresser. Crates, white ceramic dessert stands, large tree wood slabs, and green and red paper crinkle were used to display the treats. An 8 x 8 ribbon backdrop a u.Paint upgrade was positioned behind the dessert station to match the chair garlands, add a pop of color to the venue, and perfectly tie all the Christmas elements together. Two additional ladders were styled and positioned at each side of the dresser, serving as anchors for the dessert station contained within.
In addition to taking home their finished masterpiece, Victoria distributed party favors to each of her guests elf outfits custom-designed by O.riginals: Design & Stationery. Girls received I Love Santa tutu sets, and boys received basketball jerseys in support of the Miami Heat. The outfits were wrapped within a clear pillow box, with a red/white polka dot ribbon and custom gift tag (described above).
Marcia of Studio One 17 Photography did an amazing job capturing this shabby chic, Christmas-themed play date, where guests enjoyed a cheerful afternoon, creating special, artistic memories with their North Pole friends”.
