This is what Julia said about planning the party- “Vicente’s mom came to us looking for a pirate party for his first birthday and she asked for something original for her son. We were dying to do a pirate party for a long time and decided to try to stay away from the classic red and black used commonly in this theme. We came across a really fun fabric with a colorful pirate island print and were inspired to use all colors, specially blue and orange. We had a lot of fun planning this party and I think it shows, to us it looks so cheerful with all the clouds, bunting and tones of blue! We decided to use very little sculls in this party and in our opinion it looked better because of it. As usual our parties wouldn’t be the same without Isa Herzog’s brilliant desserts and she gave it all in that gorgeous cake, all the cupcakes, cake pops, and everything else! We loved how our idea of a 3D palm tree cookie and cookie coins turned out and how everything we dream for our parties come t o life through her sweet talent. We dressed our mini brigadeiro jars with pirate hats, offered candy floss as sweet sea foam and made simple and fun favors with soap bubbles wrapped in a pirate bandana and cute eye patch. All in all it was a great first birthday party”!
