Cereal-ously Sweet Valentine Breakfast Party Details:This is what Antonia said about planning/styling the party-
- “The main concept and starting point was the Cereal Bar rather than a dessert table. The cereal bar consisted of a few varieties of pink colored cereals in large glass jars, i.e. Strawberry flavored Mini Wheats and Fruit Loops. I included a tray with white, paper cereal bowls, wooden spoons, fresh strawberries, and a milk jug. I also added yogurt parfaits in small mason jars, mini heart spoons, and bakers twine. The Valentine sugar cookies were displayed and then given out in cello bags as a favor treat to take home. A bright, large, printable poster was used as a backdrop for the table.
- While the children were waiting for breakfast, they filled out their Valentines Day cards to give to each other. Each child also made their own Valentines tote bag using inexpensive fabric and embellishments. Each bag was tied to the backs of the chairs and the children put cards in each tote. The totes then went home with each child filled with their cards, treats, and favors. Easy and neat…all in one bag!
- The table consisted of a printable Valentines Day place mat with mini red fruit crates. The mini crates were filled with a paper cup of red berries and a wrapped breakfast sandwich! These were mini croissants filled with nut-free chocolate spread, strawberry cream cheese, and strawberry jam. Each croissant was wrapped in wax paper + pink tissue paper, and tied with Bakers Twine. Strawberry milk was served with coordinating straws and printables. The table centerpiece was a powdered sugar donut tower, chocolate muffins (with a powdered sugar heart shape in the middle of each muffin!) and more printables. The XOXO dishes were added at the end of the table as XOXO was used throughout the printable collection. Mini tissue hearts were sprinkled on the table, too.
- My favorite idea for the breakfast was the burlap favor bags! Using fabric glue, I added a heart (using the same coordinating material from the tote bags) to the front of each burlap bag. I placed a mini cereal box inside the bags and added a cute, printable hang tag with the text, Cereal-ously Youre My Valentine! The kids loved that idea :)”.
