I live in the Southwest and am familiar with Navajo culture so I can’t help commenting. First off, I must say what a darling baby Abigale is, and what a fantastic job you have done re-creating the Navajo lifestyle. I absolutely love this theme. I’m surprised it didn’t bust a budget. I liked the dream catchers and the feathers, but I think this party was missing things. We have Navajo rugs, pottery, and jewelry that the tribes sell. Baby bracelets and necklaces with semi-precious stones like silver and turquoise are the thing. Baby moccasins are darling and pretty reasonable. Especially for babies, Navajos are passionate for their cradleboards. Navajos are very close knit, highly spiritual and family oriented. Navajos aren’t plains Indians. They didn’t live in teepees; they lived in hogans (good luck making one of those for a party!). Navajos weren’t scavengers like the Utes, Paiutes, and Shoshone. Navajos grew their own corn, and raised their own sheep. One of the most popular foods in the SW are the Navajo tacos. According to the Navajos, Navajo fry bread has to be cooked with BLUE BIRD or else. Great job on the party planning. I’m watching. I can’t wait to see the next party. http://askmelissaanything.blogspot.com/
It’s lovely worth sufficient for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made just right content as you probably did, the internet will be a lot more helpful than ever before.
