When I spotted the new Wilton Peeps pan (available via Amazon Prime so the pan will arrive by Easter!) at the store this year I had to get one. On the way home I immediately started thinking of ideas and ways to use it. These PANCAKE PEEPS were one of my first ideas, and I have to admit, I’m kind of obsessed with how they turned out!
My kids LOVE french toast sticks because they’re so fun to dip, so I thought that dipping little peep bunnies would be just as thrilling for them…and I was right, they were a huge hit! Serve these cute pancake bunny dippers for breakfast on Easter morning, or have them for a fun springtime afternoon snack!
Pancake Peeps Recipe + DIY Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Prepare pancake mix as instructed on box and pour into squeezable container (a clean ketchup or mustard bottle works great).
Step 3: Carefully squeeze a small amount of pancake batter into each Peeps cavity in your pan (do not spray with cooking spray beforehand). As you can see in the photos, I put just enough pancake batter in each cavity to cover the bottom.
Step 4: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 4-5 minutes, or until pancakes are a light golden brown (you don’t want to overcook them).
Step 6: Remove pan from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Carefully remove each pancake bunny with a fork.
Step 7: Serve immediately with syrup.
Step 8: Serve the pancake bunnies ‘regular pancake style’ on a plate with butter and syrup if you wish, too!
