Royal Baby Shower Details:
This is what Stephanie said about planning/styling the party- ‘ When our mommy-to-be client first contacted us about designing her baby shower, she told us she wanted it very glam, over-the-top, detailed, and glitzy, with lots of baby elements, but still wanted it to be boyish for her little bun in the oven. With her favorite color being royal blue, we decided to create an ombre color palette ranging from royal blue to a light baby blue accented with shiny gold and white.
Umbrellas and showering the mommy and daddy-to-be was a main aspect of our overall design. We rented gorgeous teal umbrellas from Bella Umbrella and placed them in the floral centerpieces of each dining table. MV Florals created luscious but simple white floral arrangements using hydrangeas and peonies that offset all the gold accents on the table. La Tavola linen’s gold sequin linens really gave the glitzy feel to the whole party!
One of the main focal events of the party was the desserts table. From the most intricately detailed sugar cookies, to custom caramel apples adorned with gemstones and sequins, the dessert table did not disappoint! It was filled to the brim with sweets from both Roni Sugar Creations and Sweet & Saucy Shop, and at the end of the party there wasn’t a single dessert left!
Custom games, clipboards, raffle tickets, signage, champagne favors, onesie notes for the mommy-and-daddy, diaper advice, and more rounded out the special aspects we created and designed for this baby shower. And in the center of the room was the most extravagant cake we’ve ever seen, made by Royal Cakes LA. Every element of our design was captured in this cake: baby blocks, ruffles, gold, glitter, royal blue, light blue, and an ombre center! We loved getting to design this gorgeous party and make our mommy-to-be’s dreams come to life! We wish her a happy rest of her pregnancy and new chapter of her life with baby boy!
“A little note from mom-to-be
Our couple baby shower was a joyous occasion shared by 40 of our closest family and friends in a private event space
at Fig and Olive Melrose Place Los Angeles California March 2015.
The space was splendidly transformed by our attentive and sweet event planners Lovelyfest who put their heart and souls into our baby boy shower
which started as a sprinkle but of course blew out to a full blown shower. More is more is better!
After choosing a palette of stunning blues and rich golds we began 5 months of detailed planning which included mini moet bottles wrapped in blue/gold tulle with a tag that read “pop when mom to be pops”, custom jeweled boxed apple favors, amazing umbrella centerpieces and a ombre blue cake fit for a royal baby prince from Royal Cakes LA topped with a real pair of baby jordans (so cute).
Guests arrived to a seating chart covered in ombre umbrellas and were able to catch up on our baby journey by reading our custom baby sign which set the tone for the wonderful day and was highlighted in a lush gold frame.
We shared the special day with our guests indulging in amazing 3 course lunch plus our “baby love” dessert bar which including custom cookies from Roni Sugars creations and the most decadent baby blue caramel macaroons speckled with gold flakes from Sweet & Saucy. Too much yummy for
a pregnant lady’s tummy I must say!!!
We entertained guests with a how well do you know the parents game which drew lots of laughs/baby shower raffle with great prizes/ blessings board, a thank you speech from mom to be where dad-to-be was presented with a pair of baby blue Gucci loafers (he was disappointed not in his size) for our new bouncing baby boy and then we ended the party with several games of custom baby bingo which is a family tradition at our celebrations.
Overall a fabulous day was had by all and the attention to detail was outstanding and we loved every minute of celebrating the impending arrival of our baby boy due in May 2015. Cheers to Lovelyfest for their tireless dedication to us the clients and please take a sip of that champagne when our baby boy arrives……you deserve it!!!
END NOTE: The invite was a CUSTOM MADE baby block which mom to be dreamt about in one of her crazy pregnancy dreams and turned out better than a dream”! ‘
