Teddy Bear Picnic in the Park Party Details:
This is what Suki said about planning the party- “Picnics are one of our family’s favorite things about summertime. What’s not to love about sitting out in nature, enjoying the company of loved ones while enjoying a plate full of delicious food? We wanted a party that both kids and grown ups can enjoy and since the goal of any picnic is to have fun and relax, we decided to give the picnic theme a go. It may not have been the perfect picnic but it was definitely bright, dreamy, fun and unique. Best of all,it was sweet, simple and pretty just
like our daughter, Sanja.
I originally planned to do a DIY party but I’m glad I met Joyce of Love Bug Manila who provided the extra oomph this party needed. Her team did a really great job bringing what I have envisioned to life. From the picket-fenced stage, the buntings, pompoms, pinwheels and more. I was so happy that they were able to tie everything in nicely without putting my DIY projects to waste.
The guests were greeted by a huge teddy bear leading them to a table full of Sanja’s firsts and favorites. In lieu of the traditional party hats, the kids were given headbands with teddy bear ears that matched the theme. we also used stacked white wooden pallets to make a little table for the kids to sit at while eating. To tie in the outdoor, we placed wooden chargers, acorns and mason jar vases with sunflowers as centerpieces. Gingham fabric in hot pink and aqua were used through out the party.
Instead of hiring a caterer, I ordered food boxes to make the party feast picnic- appropriate. I also provided each guest with DIY utensil kits with gingham tissue.
Aside from the party host/magician and bunny feeding station, I created a reading corner and a bubble station to keep the kids happy and entertained. A simple photobooth was also set up on a tree where guests can take souvenir selfies and groupfies.
For the party favors, each kid went home with an insulated picnic lunch bag filled with sweet treats”.
