Ice Cream Social Gender Reveal Party
Ice Cream Social Gender Reveal Party Details:
This is what Linda shared about the party- “My best friend (Monica) LOVES a good party. She’s usually the one planning them for everyone else though. So when she learned that she was pregnant earlier this year, she & I eagerly started brainstorming original theme ideas for her Gender Reveal… the goal was to create a party that was different than any other shower we had helped host, or had attended as guests.
Monica’s Gender Reveal was scheduled for August in South Louisiana – read: HOT! so we needed a *cool* theme! Oh, and did I mention that this wasn’t “just” a Gender Reveal she also revealed that she is carrying TWINS!! After much brainstorming, we arrived at the Ice Cream Social theme. We’d seen this theme used for birthdays, but not for a Gender Reveal – until now ;) The theme fit our criteria of 1) being original, 2) “cool” (seriously, it’s so hot in Louisiana in August!), and 3) it was a theme where we could do a play-on-words regarding the twin announcement (e.g. she’s having 2 scoops!).
Monica carried theme theme throughout the party foods, by candy-dipping the pretzels, ice cream bowls & cones in pink & blue. Guests “voted” on the gender by adding a cutout “scoop” of ice cream to a poster made by the mommy-to-be that read “Do you have the scoop?” Photo props & party stickers also helped guests showcase their “vote” leading up to the big reveal!”
