Healthy Holiday Recipe Series
I decided to share with you some of the healthy recipes that are a perfect, and perfectly delicious, addition to your traditional fall recipe stash. I’m sharing them with you in my Healthy Holiday Recipe Series.
Today I have a super healthy, fast, and easy recipe that is great for breakfast, an after school snack, or even on that “I forgot to plug in the crockpot, and my people are hungry!” dinner night. (Note to self: don’t forget to plug in the crockpot this time).
You can serve it with your favorite syrup, fresh berries, some jam, or with a dusting of powdered sugar. If you forgot to plug in the crockpot and are serving this for dinner, you can add cups of fresh fruit to make it look like you totally planned this for dinner.
Gluten-Free Vanilla Flax French Toast
- 2 pieces Gluten-Free Multigrain Bread
- ¼ cup skim milk
- 1 egg
- 1 – 2 Tbsp Carrington Farms Organic Milled Flax Seeds
- ½ tsp vanilla
Whisk egg, flax, milk, and vanilla together. Heat sprayed pan over medium heat. Coat both sides of bread in egg mixture. Place bread in hot pan and cook until golden brown or for about 3 minutes per side.
