How fun is this JACK AND THE BEANSTALK 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Flavia of Fête à Fête!

Flavia said- “We celebrated my little boy’s first birthday with a feijoada, a typical Brazilian (and Portuguese) dish very similar to the french cassoulet, but made with black beans instead of white.

Inspired by the food, I wanted to use this concept on the decoration as well, but tailored for a kid’s party. That’s how we came up with the idea of using this children’s classic story tale, “Jack & the Beanstalk” as our party “theme”. Or in our particular story, “Mateus” (the birthday boy.) The invitation read something like “with the leftover beans from his adventure up in the clouds, Mateus decided to prepare a feijoada to celebrate his first birthday!”

As party favors we had personalized coloring booklets, “magic beans” (which were chocolate covered peanuts wrapped in rustic jute bags), and “golden eggs” (chocolate eggs covered in edible gold paint.)”
