Harry Potter Party Details:

This is what Paola shared about the party- “Our client contacted Say I Do to Details, to plan a Harry Potter inspired party for her twin daughters 7th birthday. They are a huge fan of Harry Potter, and our job was to create a party that felt you were transported to Hogwarts school. The planning was carefully crafted from the selection of the venue, to the party favors. We started with the invitations that were an acceptance letter to Hogwart school, and included a ticket to London, to be taken at Platform 9 ¾, of course. This was a huge success! Kid’s that hadn’t watched the movie, asked their parents to watch, and some kids literally thought they were getting a train to London. As we all know, we can’t have a Harry Potter scene, without floating candles at the “Grand Hall” – We created floating candles by using paper towel rolls, hot glue to give the “wax melting illusion” and led tea candles. The effect was simply amazing, and defi nitely one of the highlights of the party. At the kid’s table, we added water bottle with hand-made Harry Potter scarves wrapped around the water bottles.

The main cake table, had two amazing Harry Potter  birthday themed cake (All cake, not fake), beautiful gold snitch cake pops, and of course some sugar cookies to add to the décor. The client didn’t want a lot sweets, so we chose to add more props to the table. One of the Say I Do to Details staff, crafted amazing flying keys. We purchased the keys on Etsy, and we made wings out of a gold piece of paper. They were hung with clear nylon string, and they turned out fabulous. We also added additional Harry Potter Invitation Letters to give the illusion of the flying letters brought by owls. Cauldrons, potions, old books, suitcases, trunks and magic wands, were all added to complete the look.

We added dry ice to cauldrons for the potion effect, and the kids were just fascinated by all the smoke. This party had many o ther elements that made it fun. At the time the kids arrived, we had Harry Potter soundtrack playing, and many parents dressed up as different characters from the movies. We hired a magician, a DJ, and we even made some butter bear. Finally, our favors, were Harry Potter scarves. Our client really didn’t want favors that would just be thrown away, so the scarves were the perfect souvenir.”

I love your pictures. I was wondering if the owl and cage are for sale. I’m throwing a Harry Potter Wedding Shower and this would be great.

Thanks for reaching out!! This isn’t a Kara’s Party Ideas party, so your best bet is to reach out directly to the party stylist. Her name and link are in the first paragraph of the party post. You can also check the vendor list in the post. XOXO!
