Modern Justice League Party Details:
This is what Bethany said about planning/styling the party- “My oldest darling recently turned 9. And while it’s still hard for this Momma to believe how old my baby is, we threw a Justice League party that he won’t soon forget!
When starting to plan the birthday party, the topic of super heros kept coming up. Walker is just crazy for super heros. So even though he had a super hero party once before when he was little, we decided to go for it again. This time he wanted a Justice League party. Walker taught me all about super heros, and then we were ready to go! We had a blast planning together. He always has such great ideas!
I wanted the dessert table to have a modern twist to it, so I used white as the backdrop for all of those wonderful bright & bold superhero colors. I splurged on a few custom desserts, like the cake, cake pops, and cookies. I love the way those turned out! They really elevated the party design and the birthday boy loved them! I also used colored candy, and the children went crazy for the swirly lollipops and the gumballs. The donuts I picked up inexpensively from a local baker and added detail to them with little colored garland. I served layered Jello cups which were both budget friendly & super easy to whip up.
The guest table, I kept simple with a large centerpiece, desserts, and decorated table settings. I did lots of crafting for this party and am so pleased with how those added details turned out; the Green Lantern superhero banner was probably my favorite! It turned out awesome! I also used simple black ribbon and lunch box tags to make the lunch boxes extra special. Knowing how much my children like to play dress-up, the personalized superhero cape & the matching shirt for baby brother were a must! One of my favorite parts of the party was the photo booth. The parents and children had such fun posing with the photo props and taking pictures. It was a great day! And the best way to celebrate our sweet boy!”
