Rock A Bye Baby Shower

So excited for this next feature. I just love it when I get a party submission that’s different and out-of-the-box. How clever and cute is this ROCK A BYE BABY SHOWER submitted by Jeannette Rivas of J At Your Service. LOVE it.

Here is what Jeannette had to say about the celebration- “I’m very excited to share with you the baby shower I put together for my BFF. We decided on a “Rock a Bye Baby” theme. I wanted a little chic, a little edge, a little baby and a little rock. I think that the use of houndstooth really helped tie it all together….{continued below}

“I created the invitation, which set the tone for the whole party. I used a houndstooth pattern, turquoise colors, a cool edgy font and a onesie image with a guitar accent. I also created the table signs for each table, used black linens with a turquoise overlay. The floral arrangements were made by the mama to-be’s Aunt. I hung black and turquoise paper lanterns inside of the tent and rented a chandelier for the center of the tent, to give that glam effect. I also hung a welcome wreath at the front of the tent, which was created by The Knock Knock Factory. It matched my theme beautifully!

I used a turquoise color baby changing table that was already part of my own sons bedroom, to display the favors and diaper cake. The diaper cake was made by Bows N’ Beauty, as well as the chocolate star pops. The checkered pattern baby shoes and bling guitars, was absolutely perfect for the party. I created the favor tags and added them to the favor pops, then displayed them in a dark turquoise box with a houndstooth print pinwheel that I made for it. I also made a banner to hang in the front of the table with the baby’s name on it. Wanting to add a bedroom effect, I also took the lamp in my sons bedroom and covered it with a houndstooth fabric and black ribbon trim. The changing table also displayed the game prizes.

My BFF mentioned how cute it would be for her other children to have themed shirts to wear for the party. I immediately called on Claudia of Tini Posh to create the cuteness. She made the most adorable shirts for them, one saying “Big sisters Rock!” and the other saying “Big brothers rock”. They were perfect!

I made a “Boys Rock” bunting for the table area, using baby onesies that I hand dyed myself. I added glittered letters to each one. I also added glittered guitar accents to boxes on the table, used as risers. Each one held small black Euro style suitcases, displaying delicious cake pops from MKR Creations. Rock candy seemed to be fitting and I also used stored bought powdered doughnuts, placed in a vase and topped with another houndstooth pinwheel. One of my favorite items on the table were the cotton candy bags. I repackaged them into clear bags and added labels that I created, saying “Boys Rock”. I displayed them on a 3 tier stand, with black star printed plates, I found at Home Goods. The onesie and rattle cupcake toppers are another product I created for the party. Roni of Roni’s Sugar Creations made the most amazing cookies for me, that I also displayed on the star printed plates. She created onesie cookies with the houndstooth print, star and guitar shaped cookies as well. Roni also made the most gorgeous glittered candy apples. Per the mama’s request, Bow’s N’ Beauty made banana pudding cups for her. Delish!

The dessert table has a black linen, houndstooth overlay and turquoise curtain backdrop. All the paper decor is now available in my Etsy shop.”
