The Best Peppermint Cake Pops Recipe – Easy to Follow!
Chocolate or White cake mix and ingredients cake mix calls for
3/4 can white or chocolate frosting
White candy coating (like Wilton Candy Melts)
40 Lollipop Sticks
Red & White Striped Paper Straws
Crushed Peppermint Candy
Cake pop holder (available in Kara’s Party Shop for as little as $3 HERE)
Bake cake as instructed on box. Once cake is cooled crumble whole cake into small pieces in large bowl. Add 3/4 can softened frosting and mix until incorporated.
Roll mixture into ping-pong sized balls with clean hands. Place balls on cookie sheet and freeze for 1/2 hr.
Melt candy coating in microwave in 30 second increments. Dip one end of lollipop stick into melted candy coating and insert into pop until secure then place in cake pop holder (available in Kara’s Party Shop for as little as $3). Do this to all cake pops.
Once sticks are inserted, dip all cake pops into melted candy coating, one at a time, and let excess candy melt drip off into bowl. Immediately sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy and insert into cake pop holder to set.
Once cake pops are set take paper straws and slip over lollipop sticks, cutting off the excess straw at the bottoms.
