Garden Themed 2nd Birthday Party

I think a garden theme is so fun for a birthday party! I especially love the cute cake decorated with edible flowers and ladybugs. There are so many fantastic ideas in this event that could be incorporated into a garden or woodland party for any occasion.

This is what Emily said about planning the party-

“For my daughter’s second birthday I knew the theme had to include something to do with being outside, as Bella loves the outdoors. But due to a middle of winter birthday, I also knew there was a good chance the party would have to be held indoors. So I decided on a garden theme and planned on bringing a garden to life in our living room.

I started by designing graphics of a garden scene, and I used these throughout the party. I used a green shag rug as ‘grass’ on the dessert table, and dressed it with timber ‘planter’ boxes and log slices as risers.

Activities for the kids included a seedling pot painting station, a colouring wall and a ‘head in hole’ photo wall.

The favour bags included personalized activity books with crayons, soil and seeds to plant in their pots & other ‘garden’ related crafts.”
