The Best Crock Pot / Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate Recipe
Ingredients:
1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
8 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips (depends on your liking…dark, white or milk chocolate. Any kind works!)
Directions:
Add milk, sweetened condensed milk, whipping cream and vanilla extract to crock pot and quickly stir. Add chocolate chips to crock pot and mix in, so chocolate chips aren’t piled in one place.
Cover and heat on low setting for 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
Serve and top with whipping cream or marshmallows.
Yields 15 servings.
Enjoy!

Where, oh where, did you get that mug???
From Fab.com, but it looks like they are out of stock :( http://fab.com/product/polka-dot-camping-mugs-201214/
However, if you search ‘enamel polka dot cup’ on etsy you can find some!
Please share on where the mug is from.

Also wondering this…

Can this be reaheated if it’s not all used?

Found your recipie on pinterest and love it! What a fun rich treat for gatherings!! Perfect for the hot cocoa bar with adult add in’s too!!
This is great, I have made this twice. Thanks.
I’m planning to have a party with about 30 guests. Should I double this recipe? If so, do you think I’ll need two large crockpots, or will one be sufficient?
Wow best hot chocolate. Made it for a birthday party 25 guest and it was more than enough for everyone.
I was thinking of doing a hot cocoa bar for Christmas this year. I haven’t been able to find anything on the internet about this… I was wondering if you could just do a milk base in the crock pot? Then add various types of chocolate to your cups (for example, abuelita {my new favorite obsession}, white chocolate, dark chocolate, mint chocolate chips, etc) so everyone can have the type of cocoa they want. Do you think that would work?
How would I store this since it yields so many servings?
Love this hot cocoa!
thank you for sharing, can’t wait to try it
Thick and creamy. Oh my word, this has deliciousness written all over it!!!
This recipe is absolutely delicious. I tweaked it a little bit and added some crushed candy canes for a minty flavor, it came out sooooooooo delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Something’s up with my computer – comments are not showing. My question is, can the hot chocolate be refrigerated and warmed up the next day if we don’t finish all of it?
I didn’t want to make the whole batch at one time so mixed all of the ingredients except the chocolate chips together in a large container and kept it in the refrigerator. I have a hot chocolate maker so I added 4 cups of the mixture and 2/3 cups of chocolate chips and it was delicious! I have used milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and chocolate caramel chips. DELICIOUS! Next I am going to add chocolate mint chips. This is really a great recipe.
I am making this tonight but was wondering if it is something you can make and leave most of the day? Or does it strictly have to be made 2 hours prior to drinking? Id love to go ahead and make it and leave it on keep warm but don’t want to ruin it. Thanks!
This looks great…question: can the recipe be doubled? And…whole milk or any milk? Thanks!
Hi! Can this recipe be doubled for a party in a 6 quart crockpot?
Absolutely!! Enjoy! XOXO!!
What is your favorite brand of chocolate chip to use in this recipe? Thank you!
I usually just use what is in my pantry at the time…ha ha!! XOXO!
This is so good, I’ve been making batches all week. Split it into quart size mason jars, add a batch of marshmallows and a candy cane and the you have teacher, bus driver and therapist gifts!
