Christmas Reindeer Cupcakes Tutorial / Recipe
Ingredients / Items needed:
Chocolate candy melts
Red and Brown M&M’s
Bake your chocolate cupcakes as your recipe directs. Frost with chocolate frosting.
Melt 1/2 the bag of chocolate candy melts in a microwave safe dish in 30 second increments, string in-between, until chocolate is smooth.
Dip pretzel sticks in melted chocolate (2 pretzel sticks per cupcake), covering the whole stick, and place on parchment paper. Break your regular mini pretzels into pieces and take the pieces and dip them into the melted chocolate as well, then place pieces right next to covered pretzel sticks on the parchment paper (so they are touching) and allow to cool/harden.
Take the remaining un-melted chocolate candy melts and insert one, in an upright position, into the center of each cupcake like shown in the picture. Once antlers (pretzels) have hardened, insert two pieces directly behind the chocolate candy melt piece in each cupcake.
Put chocolate frosting in a pastry bag or ziplock bag with a tiny portion of the corner cut off. Carefully create a nose in front of the candy melt on each cupcake by gently squeezing the chocolate frosting out of the bag. Place a red or brown M&M in front of each chocolate nose before the frosting sets.
Create the eyes with white frosting (2 small white dots as shown in the picture) and black frosting (smaller white dots in the front center portion of the white dots).
And there you have your reindeer cupcakes!
