Circus Carnival Party Details:
This is what Salin said about planning/styling the party- “Being a sweets table stylist for the past few years, I always anticipated creating a carnival circus themed dessert table. When my son was born, I knew that his 1st birthday party theme would be carnival/circus!
I styled the entire party myself. I wanted every detail to be perfect so I did a lot of research, looked at inspiration photos, and spent countless hours planning.
If you walked into the recreation room where the party took place, you would smell freshly popped popcorn and hear circus music playing in the background. Children laughing and playing, as well as interacting with the party entertainer-CLOWN. You would see a sweets table with vibrant colors in one corner, party foods, a circus snacks table, kid’s table, and a photo booth.
The sweets table featured cake pops, fondant cupcakes, gumballs in a gumball jar, sugar cookies, cotton candy, chocolate covered oreos and a gorgeous two tiered cake. I made all the desserts myself and ordered a cake from SWEET ESCAPE CAKES. Since chevron is one of my favorite patterns, I created a backdrop using red and white chevron fabric and hung a store bought canopy over it.
I created a circus snacks table with circus peanuts, animal crackers, popcorn machine with fresh popcorn, and vintage boxed cracker jacks. I spray painted a framed chalkboard and used it to display “prices” for the circus snacks. To the right of the snacks table, I had a tickets booth serving as a drinks station.
Chevron was incorporated in the entire party. Chevron fabric was hung on a wall to serve as a photo booth where guests can take pictures with props that were provided. The kid’s table had yellow and white chevron fabric, as well as circus themed cups and plates, painted mason jars, chevron straws, and hot dog containers.
I enjoyed every detail of planning for this party. With help from some vendors, I was able to put together the finishing touches”.
