Princess Brunch Party Details:This is what Nicole said about planning and styling the party-
“When my little princess came to me and said she wanted a princess party for her 5th birthday I was so excited. Her big sister, age 6, is a tom boy and has always wanted more “boy” themed parties like dinosaurs and aliens.
I started party planning by contacting my favorite printables vendor Just a Little Sparkle and she made me the most beautiful invitations and matching party printable set.
My little girl also said she wanted to have breakfast food (or first meal of the day food as she calls it) for her party, because all her favorite foods are served at breakfast. Also breakfast foods are budget friendly so it made mommy happy. :) We chose little cinnamon rolls, donuts, fruit kabobs, muffins, bagels, and OJ to drink. It made for perfect finger foods for all of our little princesses and their moms.
Dessert was mommies favorite part of the party! We served yummy Oreo truffles, cupcakes, rice crispy treats and a chocolate Frozen themed cake. Delicious! I also make sure to include cookies from my favorite baker Cookie Love and they were a big hit with the kiddos!
I think my little girls favorite part of the day was when her favorite princesses from Once Upon a Time Character Company came to the door. I invited Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and princess Anna from the new Frozen movie to help my little princesses and her friends celebrate. The princesses did all of the kids hair and make up, told stories, played games, and helped sing happy birthday to my princess. They were completely amazing and worth every penny!
I 100% believe in party planning on a budget. There are so many beautiful parties out there. I caught myself drooling every time I searched “princess party” on Pinterest! WOW! So I wanted to share some party planning deals I found with you! First, I always order a small individual cake from my local grocery store which usually runs about $7.99! I always find they are very accommodating in putting personal touches on the cakes I order. Normal character sheet cakes can be pretty pricey, so can buying bakery cupcakes. I find homemade cupcakes are much more reasonable and usually taste better!
Next, make sure you shop early! Once I know my party theme I am constantly checking the dollar store, and the clearance section at Walmart and Target for the perfect serving dishes and goodies for the kids. Last, make sure you sit your little one down and ask them what they are most exited about for their party. I know as moms we want to make everything perfect when we are planning our parties but the truth of the matter is most kids are just happy to have a play date with their closest friends, eat dessert and get presents. My oldest daughter loves party printables and cupcakes! Those are a must for her at every party. My little one just wants to feel special and spend the day with friends. So I chose to let her invite her closest little girl friends and their moms and it made for the perfect party!
I wanted to say thank you to Just a Little Sparkle for letting me share our special day with you and for making the perfect printables and to Photos by Bernie for taking such great pictures of our party! Happy Party Planning!”
