What a darling party for a little girl! I love all of the bright and fun colors used in it! I also love the cute crepe paper streamer backdrop with paper lanterns and and paper flowers! This party has so many really cute ideas that would be perfect for not only a Mermaid party, but any Under the Sea/Ocean event!

This is what Michelle said about planning/styling the party- “I let my daughter pick out the theme for her birthday party and mermaids it was! First off, I am a DIY type of girl. I like to make as much as I can by myself. Naturally, I got started and designed the invitations and everything fell in line after that. To keep it a fun, I used bright colors that played off of the mermaids I used on the invitations. Thankfully, nautical decor is all the rage right now so I didn’t have a hard time finding decor/supplies to match the party. I was also able to use some of the conch shells we picked up from our summer vacation as decor too. Some of the my favorites aspects to the party were the hanging Jelly Fish, dessert table backdrop, fishing net over the foyer, and make your own treasure chest station. I made the cookies myself and Sweet! by Good Jolly Miss Holly made the cupcakes. I just love how bright and fun everything turned out and better yet, my 2 year old daughter was in mermaid heaven”!

where did you buy the treasure boxes? I’m looking to do a mermaid party for my daughters 4th bday in April!
