Vintage Princess Party Details:
This is what Jocelyn said about planning/styling the party- “Every little girl dreams of being a princess in their own fairy tale surrounded by their special friends creating magical memories to be treasured forever. Combining the beauty of the present alongside the splendour of the past brought our vision to life.
Shirley from Shirley Dowling Photography had a vision of creating a princess tea party filled with pink, white, frills and lace. Set amongst gorgeous parkland with nature as the backdrop ensured that our ‘princesses’ were relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed their tea party, playing and enjoying delicious delights.
Memories are Sweet took great pleasure in coordinating the afternoon including styling the shoot assisted by Kelly-Anne from Le Petite Soiree. Jocelyn from Memories are Sweet, wanted the fairytale to come to life and set about creating a setting that allowed the ‘princesses’ to indulge and enjoy. Capturing the innocence of childhood through free play, a place to sit and enjoy the desserts and finally a place to rest, read and enjoy a cup of tea.
The colour palette and theme also flowed through to the Paperie which resembled the intricacy of lace doilies alongside pink watercolour embellished with gold details. All Paperie was designed and created by Memories are Sweet including the handmade favor boxes with detailed edging.
Nothing was more fitting than the timeless pieces from Tisa at Moments in Vintage. The darling dresser created the perfect place for a dessert table which was to feature the gorgeous cake, a beautiful chest acting as the drink station at just the right height for our ‘princesses’ and a table and chairs for afternoon tea to be served. Our reading corner was also adorned with a timeless pieces including a lace tablecloth as a picnic rug, beautiful cushions and a stunning gold tea set.
Ava-Rose Accessories dressed our ‘princesses’ in a beautiful collection of pretty pieces inspired by a love of all things girly. Samantha believes that all little girls deserve to feel like princesses from time to time. To some, putting on a frilly skirt, dreamy top, fancy hat or pretty headband does just that. Feeling like a little princess opens up a little girls heart to the spirit of imagination.
Samantha also created the beautiful pieces that adorned the entire tea party, including the amazing dream catcher, mason jar embellishments, and the other stunning floral and lace accessories. All pieces worn by our ‘princesses’ are symbolic of whimsical, vintage beauty and incorporate Samantha’s love of lace, doilies, roses and frills.
Saym from Velvetier knew exactly the style of cake that she would design to make every little girls dream come true. Embellished with hand crafted lace, ruffles, flowers and topped with a princess tower, the cake was the magical centrepiece of our grand tea party. Accompanying this masterpiece was a variety of delectable desserts with amazing details. Including pink and white swirl meringues, divine lace embellished macarons, marshmallow bites, traditional coconut ice and cookies with edible images that matched the Paperie at our tea party.
All of these incredible details and talented vendors created a magical setting where four little girls played, danced, indulged and most importantly enjoyed themselves as their own fairytale came to life and they were ‘princesses’ for a day! Their dreams had come true”!
