Cinderella Princess Party Details:This is what Julia said about planning/styling the party-

“So, this was my first attempt at a Disney princess party and I wanted to do it a little bit different. Cinderella is a cute theme with lots of elements to use, but I was very much over the classic blue that’s always pinned to this particular character. So I thought about all the other pretty scenes in this story besides the popular ball, of how I always believed the scene where she is washing the floors with all those pretty bubbles would make a great party… Then I saw Karen Ayar’s version of a Cinderella party and I was convinced! We would have three different dessert tables, one for every part of the house and the story that marked Cinderella’s tale: the kitchen, with a rustic feel, full of plates, tea cups, bubbles and normal cooking tools; the character’s bedroom, with the pink dress all the little mouses and birds were helping to sew, the sewing pattern book and other sewing utensils in general; and the prince’s palace, the only dreamy part, wi th all the pretty details of a princess tale.

I have to say I was thrilled to have the opportunity to use so many ideas at once and I had fun with every detail! For the main princess table, we decided to mix pink and silver to the Cinderella blue, so Isa Herzog just dazzled us with the beautiful cake, the incredible decorated cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and brigadeiros that looked positively royal. I fell in love with her 3D crystal sleeper on a cushion, they stood so prettily by themselves!! The silver pumpkins and the ribbon background looked so great I was smiling like a crazy person!

Then we had the sewing table with a sewing machine and the half done dress, the sewing patterns book, edible measuring tape, edible yarn hanks, decorated brigadeiros and all the other sweet details. I was pretty proud of the pink dress (I made it myself!), and the idea for the edible measuring tape and hanks, but I was soooo happy with the sewing book taken directly from the movie!! It looked exactly the same, and the books that the Disney characters read in these movies have always looked so interesting that to me it was kind of magical to have one there!

Last but not least, my favorite table: the kitchen! I was looking forward to creating some bubbles and the look of this ancient way of washing dishes and clothes. I loved using these old objects to make it look like a used space, somewhere pretty chaotic considering all the other chores Cinderella had. In this table we had decorated brigadeiros and also brigadeiro in small jars. We made some cheese slice boxes with candy inside and also had bubble solution ready for the kids.

The favors were small pillows for the children printed with either Cinderella or the Prince and the final look was given by the pink, blue and white balloons we had on the guests tables”.
