Coco Chanel Party Details:
This is what Candice said about planning/styling the party- “Last Spring, I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for a dear friend. Since the Mama-to-be is both “classy & fabulous,” I decided to go with a Coco Chanel themed celebration. We kept the party gender neutral by incorporating lots of pops of pink and aqua, along with the traditional black and white color scheme of the perfume branding.
I used “No.1 Baby” as a tag line and design focal point. My goal was to create an elegant space with a bit of sparkle that would be perfect for welcoming either a precious baby boy or girl! Gorgeous arrangements of roses, tulips, peonies, and ranunculus flowers complimented all of my handcrafted embellishments. Guests munched on a spinach & feta quiche, sausage & cheese breakfast muffins, yogurt topped with fruit, and individual cupcakes.
The handcrafted 3-tiered diaper cake was definitely one of my favorite party elements. It served as the focal point of the dessert table and resembled a wedding cake with a cascading waterfall of paper flowers. I topped this DIY gift with black and white baby Converse shoes!
Additional Memorable Event Details:
-Handmade onesie banner across the mantel, complete with rhinestones and bow ties.
-Mama-Mosa’s drink station for guests to enjoy sparkling fruit juices and bubbly.
-Handmade stir-sticks topped with various flower and mustache embellishments.
-Handmade coordinating baby blocks on the main tablescape.
-Individual vases filled with roses at each place-setting.
-Unique baby shower game: Who Will Baby Look Like?
-Handmade guest book containing special pregnancy mementos and a page for attendees to sign their names.
-Yogurt Bar for guests to create their own signature blend!
-Each plate was topped with a handmade box filled with 2 truffles. (When closed, the box flaps look like a onesie!)
