Modern Black + Gold Christmas Party Details:
This is what Kara Woolery said about planning/styling the party- “I designed this printable party package to be a modern and elegant set for a fun adult or kid friendly Christmas Party! It comes complete with everything you need to host an awesome party including Editable Text Files to customize your party needs! I based this Christmas party around the printable files. For this design I though there could never be too much gold or too much glitter:-)! I am a little obsessed with deer head silhouettes right now. So those definitely made their way into the party package and the decor!
The amazing photography was by Heather Carpenter Photography.
BackDrop – For the backdrop I used the 11×14 poster prints from the printable package to go on either side of this beautiful gold deer head from Hobby Lobby. I used a simple black foam board from the dollar tree for the main focal point center backdrop. I then used gold ribbon from the dollar section at Michael’s to outline the foam board.
Dessert Table – For the dessert table I fell in love with this Table linen from Candy Crush Events! It really gave the entire set up a pop! Sequins table linens are in right now, and you can see why! They are simply stunning. I then used white and black Milk Glass Cake Stands to house all of the desserts. Bella’s Bakery and Bowtique created stunning Chocolate covered oreos that matched our printable set! They were beautiful and delicious! The adorable cookies that coordinated perfectly with the printable collection were made by Sweet Baketique. The stunning glitter cake pops were made by Sugar Pop Delights and were absolutely perfect for this table set up! Angela from Cakes By Angela Morrison created some fondant cupcake toppers! I was in awe when I opened the package in the mail to see how perfect they were! I used simple cupcakes form Walmart and embellished them with the cupcake wrappers from this printable set and the adorable fondant toppers. I then used Deer Head S ilhouette stickers from Pink Poppy Party Shoppe. She also created the amazing Merry Christmas Cake topper! I used Tulle Pom Pom Toppers made by Debra Walters to add some Pizaz to my Walmart cupcakes on the DIY cupcake stands. I needed one more dessert for one side of the table. I wanted something quick and easy. so I purchased clear party cups. Then I add large glue dots on the cups and sprinkled glitter on top of some. The others I painted the base with modge podge then added the glitter. I filled them with yogurt added a party logo from the printable package and a small dessert spoon!
DIY Cupcake Stands – I purchased a 6 pack of candlestick holders in the unfinished wood section at Hobby Lobby. I then spray painted them gold. I purchased a 6 pack of carboard coasters in the dollar section at Target. I then simply hot glued the two together.
I wanted to create a visual deer antler chandelier. My sweet husband let me spray paint one of his large antlers gold. He likes to go out and find antlers that deer have shed at the farm. I hung the antler from a light fixture. I then took clear ornaments from Hobby Lobby and filled with gold mylar confetti. I used fish line to hang them from the large antler.
For the table I used black construction paper as the placemat. I used a dot paint brush to add some gold polka dots with gold craft paint. I then used black plates purchased from Dollar Tree. I also purchased the wine glasses at dollar tree. I painted the stems with modge podge and sprinkled glitter over the top. I used a cake stand for the centerpiece and place trees from Hobby Lobby and gold ornaments around it. For the base I used some small deer antlers that I spray painted gold. For the chair decor I used paper fans and attached a party circle from this printable collection to the center. Then simply used ribbon to attach to the chair.
Tree – I wanted to keep the tree simple. I used a black tree and added gold balls form Hobby Lobby. Then a black and white ribbon from Michaels.
Model Outfit – My daughter had the most adorable outfit on!!! The tutu was created by PunkNPie Couture. the adorable deer shirt was created by Stitch This. The amazing and stunning headband was created by Avery’s Knit and Stitch”.
