Hipster Ugly Sweater Holiday Party Details:
This is what Natalie said about planning/styling the party-
“This hipster ugly sweater party was so much fun to create. Festive Holiday Animal Characters were the inspiration for the design of the invitation and printables. This is a fun & super frugal party setup.
DETAILS:
Backdrop: Layered snowflake tissue fans and a fabulous antler bust I found at Michael’s for only $5.99 using my 40% off coupon.
Party Food:
+Penguin Poppers- I found this darling idea on Pinterest. They were pretty easy to assemble & super tasty!
+Layered Doughnut Cake – Staked Doughnuts and created the topper with the cutout from the party pack, red twine & red paper straws.
+Little Smokies- A little BBQ sauce & brown sugar make for an easy appetizer. I added the cupcake toppers to bamboo appetizer skewers {from the Dollar Store} to add more color and fun.
+Sparkling Beverages- My favorite varieties from Trader Joe’s.
+Bruschetta- Sliced a loaf of my favorite french bread, toasted them and added Trader Joe’s Bruschetta Topping with some sprinkles of Basil.
+Eclairs- The perfect holiday treat. Picked these up at my favorite bakery.
The Voting Booth: For the Awards I re-purposed some of last years Christmas ribbons to add a splash of festiveness. I used an 8×10 White Ikea frame for the sign and a red candy box to store the official ballots. I was also thinking a wrapped gift with a slit cut in the top would be a great place to slip the ballots.
I found several great additions to the party in the Target Dollar Spot: Voting Pens {2 for $1}, Hipster Reindeer Glasses {4 for $1}, Stemless Wine Glasses {3 for $3}, Washi tape used on straws & to hang snowflake fans {1 roll for $1}, and Red Twine.”
