Madeline In Paris Party Details:
This is what Kimberly said about planning/styling the party- ” “In an old house in Paris, that was covered with vines, lived twelve little girls in two straight lines”. This party was created for my very own daughter Mazie who turned 6 years old! It all started with a Madeline doll I rescued from a thrift store two years prior. I began reading the stories of Madeline and her adventures to my daughter to get her familiar with her in hopes she would like a Madeline themed party. Since she always enjoyed reading about the spunky little red haired girl in Paris, and when she didn’t object to the theme for her party, I was ecstatic! The venue was a private historical residence owned by my very close friend in the hills of Whittier. Her home couldn’t be any more fitting to the story and It wasn’t hard to decorate her already beautiful garden into a Parisian Madeline theme. We were also lucky enough to have some sunshine come through during a very overcast week. The party was made com plete by a special appearance by Ms. Clavel herself played by Isabel of From The Heart Events! Each little girl received a handmade capelet (made by me) and yellow hat (complete with black ribbon) to wear throughout the party, a ribbon necklace with silver Eiffel tower charm, royal iced cookies with Madeline or Eiffel tower, candy apples and all the sweet treats they could have! For an activity, they played pin the hat on Madeline and had an art lesson at the Louvre where they painted Madeline on stretched canvases. I loved how it turned out but most importantly, my daughter Mazie did to and told me it was “the best party ever!”. “
