Thank Heaven For Little Girls Baby Shower Details:
This is what Merlyn said about planning/styling the party- “When the parents-to-be approached me about creating a “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” baby shower theme I was ecstatic!! This was a new theme for me and I was eager to create something unique. I envisioned the colors to be shades of pink, white and accents of gold with feathers, clouds and wings. The end result was heavenly. I arranged to have the mother-to-be come in for a first look to see the room before her guests arrived. She walked into the room gasped and happy tears began to run down her cheeks. Her reaction was priceless. She said it was more than she could have ever imagined for her baby Aleena.
This theme was a bit of a challenge so I did a lot of DIY. Here’s a look into the details. Let’s start with the dessert table. Angel wings were used on the cake pops and cookie towers and the top layer of the fondant cake had white clouds. I created cloud cupcake toppers. I ordered a custom letter for the table to represent the first initial of the baby’s name, Aleena, and the theme of the baby shower. It fit perfectly with its angel wings and precious skirt. The cake pops sat on top of mini ghost chairs. I made pink gumball necklaces and glittered the ends of the sticks for the rice krispie treats. Next to the dessert table I had the mother-to-be sitting area. I made a gold glittered halo that sat above her chair with a vase of feathers next to her.
On to the party details. At the entrance I had a wishing tree with cards cutout in the shape of clouds to hang on the tree after everyone wrote their special notes. In addition at the entrance I had the first game which was the clothespin game. I glittered the clothespins in gold and pink glitter. As guests entered they were able to enjoy “Heavenly Sweet Pink Lemonade” in pink baby bottles with polka dot paper straws decorated with a cloud and the letter A in gold. The chairs at the parents-to-be table were adorned with angel wings. All tables had a pink polka dot overlay. Each table setting had a gold charger with a white napkin folded as a baby diaper with a pink baby pin, feather and a sweet thank you card poem along with a custom mini water bottle. The centerpiece of the parents-to-be table were clear cylinder vases of varying heights with gold floating candles and “clouds” surrounding the vases. I created 2 alternating centerpieces for the guest table s. One centerpiece was a golden baby bottle sitting on top of “clouds” with angel wings. The other centerpiece was a sweet baby carriage sitting on top of “clouds”. ”
