Love Doesn’t Melt Valentine’s Day Party Details:This is what Valerie said about planning/styling the party-
“I was never a huge fan of Valentine’s Day…that is until I had kids. Now it’s one of my favorite holidays. Each year, I enjoy creating some sweet treats and festivitiy to celebrate this holiday of L.O.V.E. My kids love the fanfare, and so do I!
We got SNOW in Chicago this year. Lots of SNOW. That inspired our theme this year — “Love Doesn’t Melt”. I enlisted the super talented Tania Fischer Design to create some sweet “shades of pink” heart graphics. I incorporated some glittery gold to my decor to add some sparkle. The sweet colors and hints of bling were the perfect complement to our snowy backdrop.
I had Tania create some 8×10 signs that I backed to glitter card stock and attached to canvases that made the most adorable little photo session outside.
After some fun outside play, the kids were able to retreat to the warmth of our house and some hot cocoa, cupcakes and other sweet treats. I kept our table sweet and simple. I dressed everything up a bit with sprinkles. Kids love sprinkles!
I was a sweet and snowy day. And that’s the way we like it here in Chicago”!
