Pastel Carousel Party Details:
This is what Estelle said about the party- “I wanted something different to the usual Dora or Hootabelle themes for my daughters first birthday. Im a very big fan of pastel colors & everything floral & vintage! I wanted to incorporate a form of vintage & pastel colors into a setup but also keep it age appropriate! A pastel Carousel Themed Party was the way to go!
I started with my base colors which where going to be pastel shades of pink, mint, lavender, yellow, peach and blue & touches of gold.
From here I searched online & on forums for different ideas on things I wanted to incorporate, after a lot of searching I put a mood board together of bits & pieces I seen & I loved most. I explained what I wanted to all my lovely suppliers & then gave them the opportunity to come up with things that they thought would look best & they did not disappoint! I was so happy with the effort & talent put into every detail from these beautiful ladies including the cake & desserts & those delicious macaroons & cakepops!!
The carousel top was made by me & my handy husband. I custom ordered a piece of polystyrene for the top & worked on it from there. We made the bottom base out of mdf wood & the pipes where purchased & sprayed gold & then mounted in. I went to my local spotlight & purchased the color fabrics I wanted & had a local sewer sew up what I wanted for the top of the carousel.
I was so worried about the weather leading up to the day as we where having it in a marquee outside but it turned out to be a beautiful sunny 26 degree day with not a sight of wind! Yay for us! My little girl had an amazing day”!
