Pretty in Pink Baptism Party Details:
This is what Lisa said about planning/styling the party- “We had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with Kiri of BazaarMumma blog to create a special dessert table for her daughter Matisse’s Baptism. Kiri wanted the table to be a celebration of her daughter’s free spirit and personality. In her own words, she wanted the day to acknowledge and respect her daughter’s beautiful soul. Kiri also wanted to keep the table beautifully simple, with a few sweets and a cake given a dessert course was already being served.
With this brief in mind we opted for different shades of pink – after all which little girl doesn’t like pink. We started with a mix-matched selection of our pastel and clear pink pedestals and our distressed white vintage buffet and side tables – all available from our hire collection. Keeping with the inspiration of Matisse’s free spirit, we designed an asymmetrical table allowing each of the desserts and pedestals enough room to individually shine.
For the desserts we went with strawberries and cream marshmallows, oreo bite chocolates, cookies and a beautiful ombre macaron tower, as all of these could be easily taken home in little brown kraft bags with lace thank you tags. The two-tier semi naked cake took centre stage, with layers of vanilla sponge soaked in salted caramel and raspberry compote and filled italian meringue buttercream. And to top it off, we incorporated some fresh flowers and a wooden cake topper carved with Matisse’s name.
We love how this dessert table came out and so did our client Kiri who remarked that everything was delicious and devoured. But of course we couldn’t have done it all without the help of our amazing vendors”.
