Pink Turquoise and Gold Party Details:This is what Marite said about designing/styling the party-

“I wanted my daughter’s birthday party to be stress free. Her 1st birthday party was full of handmade details and although it turned out great, I knew that I wanted something much simpler for her 2nd birthday.

I like to DIY a lot of the decorations and this party was no exception. I made the background using tissue paper in pink, gold, and mint colors. I simply cut fringes and taped them to the wall. Using the same tissue paper, I made a tassel garland and hung it in the front side of the table. The fan flowers were made using my Silhouette Cameo and some cardstock I bought at the craft store.

The table only had some madeleines and mini brownies bought from Costco, which I put in cupcake liners, small chicken salad sandwiches, and chocolate truffles decorated with candy melts piping. I also decorated water bottles to add a bit of color to the mostly white table.

The fact that I bought most of the food made my life much easier and let me focus on enjoying the day with my little girl.

I did decide to make the cake myself though, and I decorated it with vanilla buttercream frosting that I colored teal. I bought premade pink fondant and cut tiny flowers to add contrast to the rosette piping of the cake, which was made using Wilton’s 1M tip. I made a pink and gold cake topper using my Silhouette Cameo as well.

Keeping it simple was the key to a stress free, simple, and girly birthday party that got several compliments from the guests”.
