Hot Wheels + Car Birthday Party
What kid doesn’t love a Hot Wheels car? A versatile toy that fits perfectly in a chubby-fingered hand, ready to race on roads found in the grocery store, doctors office, living room, or any other made-up race track. This party is equally versatile; it could be perfect for a 1st or 5th birthday celebration as it would a Cub Scout pinewood derby event.
Here are some party ideas that will enthrall and excite from this fabulously fun birthday celebration:
- DIY traffic light signs made from cardboard
- Cute racing themed cake
- Racer checkerboard dessert table cover
- Hot Wheels toys used as centerpieces
- Witch hats turned into construction cone centerpieces
- Balloon bunches and race flags hanging from construction cones
- and MORE!

Hot Wheels + Car Party Details:This is what Mary said about planning the party-
“I wanted a party that was all about what Liam loved, so I couldn’t go past a Hot Wheels Party! Liam loves his little Hot Wheels cars and truck, and I was so excited to start planning! The theme started to take shape when I asked Belinda for Giggles and Grace to design his invitations, they were mini pit pass invites “Liam races into 2″ I took to Pinterest for the style of cake and i found the one that was perfect with enough detail to compliment the table. I didn’t do too many desserts, I kept it light with cinnamon donuts, cakepops in the Hot Wheel colors green and orange, Hot Wheel jelly cups and chocolate mousse. I focused more on the props, using some awesome Hot Wheel toys i bought to use on the main table, i hired all the main props including the checked tablecloth and colored cake stands, kids table and chairs, large construction witches hats, checkered lino floor. I did do some DIY with the traffic lights I made them from cardboard, used smaller construction witches hats for the centrepieces. I also had amazing vendors who helped put it all together with there products!”
