Im so excited to reveal my 2015 Christmas Holiday Dream Tree for Michaels a RUSTIC PLAID CABIN | FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS TREE!
This is the fourth year that I have made a tree for Michaels, and I must say, it is always one of my favorite projects! It has been such an honor to be a part of the #MichaelsMakers this year amongst so many talented ladies! Make sure you visit Michaels blog, The Glue String, to see the other 49 Michaels Makers dream holiday trees that we created this year.
I absolutely love all the rustic decorations on and around my farmhouse + cabin tree. A few fabulous holiday elements to look for are:
- The rustic plaid ribbon tied into bows
- The charming antlers
- The perfectly colored berries
- The delicate flocked branches
- The snow kissed giant pine cones
- The vintage inspired “merry” marquee letter lights
- The adorable deer marquee light
- The retro wooden sled ornaments
- The plaid fabric covered balls
- The DIY tree farm holiday greens bucket
- The vintage snowshoes adored with ribbon and branches
- The rustic cabin lanterns
- The vintage sleigh
- The buffalo plaid gift tags
- And more…

This tree is so awesome!! I love the lumberjack look! Is this your front porch?! Sooo amazing!
It’s absolutely beautiful! I want a cabin Christmas now!
I enjoyed seeing your tree in the more traditional Christmas colours and with a rustic theme – fun that you decorated it for outdoors too! You have provided me with inspiration from the plaid ribbon to the faux antlers for my tree this year as I’d like to add to my existing ornaments and create more of a lodge theme. Love the “Holiday Greens” bucket and styling around it too! Pinning….
Your porch is beautifully decorated with the lovely plaid tree and other Christmas accents.
I love your tree! Which artificial Michael’s tree did you use?
Love Love this tree. Where did you get the antlers and deer marquee light?
Oh my gosh – I love this WHOLE SCENE! It’s so cozy and wonderful, and I love that you put it on the porch! I struggled to squeeze this guy into our one-bedroom apartment, but it would be so nice to have an outdoorsy space to stage a Christmasy scene. Love love!
Kara, love your tree!! I have been to every Michaels in my area and I can’t find those antlers or the ribbon you used for your bows!! Please help!
