Jurassic Dino Hunt Dinosaur Party Details:
This is what Jen shared about the party- “I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Amanda from Amanda’s Parties To Go to create this Dinosaur themed hunt and movie party for one of my dear friends’ son. Here are some of the fun details from out event:
When the guests arrived there was a custom sign and dinosaur tracks leading them into the backyard where we had a table with Carnivore sandwiches, Herbivore salads, and Snackivore bags of chips set up and place setting for each of the boys to enjoy a quick lunch. The placemat activity sheets was a fun little activity for the kids to do while the munched and chatted with their friends. After lunch, we headed to a little park behind my friend’s house where they got to go on a little “Dino Hunt” aka Nerf gun war. This was a blast! Using Amanda’s adorable dinosaurs as a template I cut out larger dinosaur shapes on refrigerator boxes and spray painted them to match. We had these standing up all over the grass and in bushes. The kids hid behind them or used them as shields during their little battle, it was so fun to watch!
After the hunt, we headed inside to my friend’s little movie theater room where we set up a small refreshment table and to watch the new release of “Jurassic World”. We had traditional refreshments for movies like popcorn and candy bars as well as some other treats with a fun dinosaur twist on them. My absolute favorite was the insect candies! The kids were hilarious and kept daring each other to eat them, their faces said it all! Some other fun treats were the adorable fossil cookies and the excavation of ice cream. We used little tools from some dino dig kits we got at the dollar store for the utensils and mixed in some chocolate bone shapes into the ice cream. This party was so easy to pull off with minimal work because of all the fun matching printables! They were really the star of the party and such a wonderful assortment :) Lastly, we gave out Jumbo Jawbreakers from Kara’s shop for party favors. We thought they looked similar to dinosaur eggs and the colors matched perfectly! This was such a fun event that kept the boys going! It just goes to show you don’t have to spend megabucks to have anawesome party!”
