This simple yet darling party submitted by Kara Macleod of Play Nice out of Melbourne Australia is super cute and has elements that would be so easy to recreate if you are looking to host your own party animal bash!
Party Animal 1st Birthday Party
Planning a 1st birthday party is always fun because the birthday boy or girl will be happy and excited with anything that you plan! You don’t have to worry about any pouting because she wanted something rainbow instead of horses or sad eyes because he decided at the last minute that Spider Man is much more exciting than Minecraft. We’ve all been there, right?!
I think that this darling party will delight anyone, without any pouting or sad eyes at all!
Here are a few details from this animal adventure that I think are worth taking note of, including the following:
- Wild animal party-hat-wearing cake toppers
- A cute wild animal invitation
- Animal-topped favor jars
- Assorted colored striped paper straws placed in glass drink bottles
- Circle and confetti garland streamers
- and a Number “1” photo collage!
Kara Macleod said this about the party- “Quinn’s Party Animal 1st Birthday – for our son’s first birthday we settled on a party animal theme so we could incorporate colour and fun into his first birthday party! We carried this theme across the stationary, decorations, cake and the gifts for guests. We had such a fun day looking through the photos from his first year, eating cake and playing with all of his little friends and cousins. Can’t wait for the 2nd birthday party”!
Vendors:

Hi can you please share how you made the number 1 picture collage?
Thanks for reaching out!! This isn’t a Kara’s Party Ideas party, so your best bet is to reach out directly to the party stylist. Her name and link are in the first paragraph of the party post. You can also check the vendor list in the post. XOXO!
Hi, I have just finished making jars similar to yours and realised that it is NOT non toxic paint – did you use non-toxic paint andnif not did you need to cover the jar with something before attaching the kid – to keep separate from the lollies?
Thanks
I did use non-toxic paint. Maybe some wax paper?
